Remove political emojis (not rejected)

Reasons for this suggestion:
- They are extremely controversial
- Emojis are supposed to be a lighthearted and fun ways to express emotions, and shouldn’t be used for political purposes
- BLM protests have stopped, so there are no longer a purpose for the emoji
- Both of the current emojis are left-winged, and I am not a big fan of left wing politics (because of all the drugs legalisation and police defunding stuff), it is likely that there will never be a right-winged or neutral political emoji
- These emojis turning this site from a fun game creating site to a left-wing political education site
- I’m not against ST expressing their opinions, but I am against ST expressing them with things that only the ST have access to (like announcements, censoring and emojis) as this isn’t fair for people with other opinions

This suggestion is not rejected as the ST can still share their opinions without using emojis

No. Scratch isn't, as you say “a left wing political site”. If you have other opinions, just don't use the emojis.
Its to show pride for who you are, the intention isn't to spilt the community.

No support, that's a little racist. BLM protests may have stopped, but BLM will never end as it is a movement to give black people their rights. And removing the emoji is going to start controversy.

Oh.
Lets not remove these. They show support for people and just because protests are over doesnt mean we should just forget about them.

Why would they stop showing support for these communities randomly? That’s just wrong. No support.

Now that they're here, removing them would probably cause an outrage on the scale of the mass reporting incident or the Scratch 3.0 release. No support, not because I'm a fan of these emojis (not that I dislike them, they're quite nice), but because of the potentially disastrous aftermath of removing them.

Everybody should be represented. the president is always right-wing. even biden. even obama. but…have you seen a black character in an animation series on scratch? or a gay character other than “HAHA GAE”
what does this have to do with removing emojis

semi-support, I fully believe ST should remain as neutral as possible with what it does, however there would be disastrous backlash for removing those

i need time to think

No support, it isn't good removing the BLM emojis, the protests may have ended, but we will everytime remember about BLM. It is really wrong to do that.

I agree with that. If scratch team removes the BLM emojis that is a bit racist, like we need to forget about that, NO!

You could just … not use them (extremely simple).
Or, if you have an adblocker, block the URLs (simple, depending on adblocker).

This website is not required to be neutral by any law that I know of. It's the ST's website, they can make whatever political statements they want. If you don't like it, and you don't want to use the solutions, you can leave, and make your own neutral or right-winged version of Scratch.

Because the Scratch Team isn't allowed to raise awareness of social issues? That makes no sense.

- They are extremely controversial
I can't verify the accuracy of this statement, as I wasn't very active when this was added, but judging by the first page of the announcement topic, a lot of people supported the addition.
- Emojis are supposed to be a lighthearted and fun ways to express emotions, and shouldn’t be used for political purposes
Expressing that you support one or both political movements by using the emojis is, by all accounts, an expression of emotions.
- BLM protests have stopped, so there are no longer a purpose for the emoji
Just because the protests have slowed down doesn't mean the emoji should be removed, as the movement is still active.
- Both of the current emojis are left-winged, and I am not a big fan of left wing politics (because of all the drugs legalisation and police defunding stuff), it is likely that there will never be a right-winged or neutral political emoji
Just because you don't like leftist politics doesn't mean the emojis should be removed. Also, these emojis represent major movements that I'm sure the ST wanted to promote on the site.
Also, from what I have seen, usually there aren't a ton of major right-wing or centrist movements (well, aside from the anti-mask and anti-vax “movements”, but those are based on very false information that I'm sure the ST would not want to share at all.)
- These emojis turning this site from a fun game creating site to a left-wing political education site

I'm sorry? When in the heck has the ST ever prioritized educating scratchers on progressive views instead of the projects?
- I’m not against ST expressing their opinions, but I am against ST expressing them with things that only the ST have access to (like announcements, censoring and emojis) as this isn’t fair for people with other opinions
This is the ST's website. they have the full right to express their beliefs even if it's expressed in a way regular scratchers can't
Also, if you don't like them, then just don't use them.

How am I racist? I am just asking for ST to remove political emojis. I think all the “unequal right” stuffs are just hyped up nonsense, I know this because I'm racially Asian and I know most of the “Stop Asian Hate” stuffs are hyped up nonsense made by leftist medias to gain support and BLM is kinda similar to that.

Because removing something like we need to forget about it is not good, the protest may have ended but we will never forget about that.
