Poetry from You and Me!

Made a scratch poetry project. Here it is https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/486462994/
I just posted the link instead of typing the poetry out because the scratch project is more immersive because it has art with it and backround music. I hope thats not a problem. The poem is about the perspective of a Jewish person during the Holocaust.

Poetry from You and Me!

My mum is a superhero,
flying through the sky,
she can turn back time in the blink of an eye,
getting me to all of my clubs and games,
now that takes some top-notch brains.
Every superhero has a villain,
and my mum is no exception,
traffic lights, learner drivers,
anything that might make us late,
never fear though,
because up we go, soaring high above everyone else,
and defeating the villains,
my mum is a superhero.

Poetry from You and Me!

Fly Away
Gloomy is the sky
Threats are rising high
The only escape is to fly away
The world is grey
Come on let’s pray
And fly away
What'cha Think?

Poetry from You and Me!

Here's a poem I wrote for a writing exercise for a college English class:

Writing a Poem
Poems look so simple:
Short lines
Stacked upon
One another.
Yet, they happen to be
Treasured
By many, many
Generations.
Doesn’t this make poetry
An easy way
To create such
Treasure?

No.
Poems,
Even with the freedom of
Free verse,
Still need
Rhythm
And that’s hard to
Achieve.

To ensure rhythm exists
Within your poetry,
Read it out loud.
If it doesn’t sound nice,
Revise.
If it still doesn’t sound nice,
Revise again.
If it still doesn’t sound nice,
Revise yet again.
It may take a thousand revisions
To get the rhythm
You need.

Should I try to make this topic active again? I think I will, here is my poem about stars:

STARGAZING
A poem by KitKat341b

When I'm too tired to go to sleep,
I look at the sky and there I see
The soft twinkle of every star
And remember how small we are.

Up in the cosmos, where Earth disappears,
Do the stars know we're here?
But we know the stars are there,
stars can be seen from everywhere.
