Do you need to make a list of all of the backup campers with their cabin preferences and who signed up first?

I have a list, none of them gave me their cabin preferences, but I have them in the order of who signed up first.

Ok, so just to make sure everyone's clear on how we're adding points, it will be just like SWC. So, the campers will just post something like, “Done the daily for Cowboy!” or something like that. Then after a lot (or a few) of those sort of comments have been posted a leader can comment something like, “Adding all below!” Then they start at the bottom of the comments that haven't been added and work their way up. They'll reply to each comment that says they completed a daily with somethings like, “Added!” to let the camper know that their points have been added. Once you've responded with “Added!”, you'll then go to This project and post how many points and for what cabin. Like: “+500 points to Cowboy!” Then you just repeat that until you've gone through each camper.

Oh and I have a question - for adding words, how's that going to work? I was thinking I'd just have a project where my campers could add their words in the comments (similar to the main cabin point-adding project) but if there's a different plan just lmk

Hey, Mayhem! I think for adding words in your cabin, you can do it however you like. I personally am just going to have my campers comment in my studio, but I think it's fine for you to do it in whatever way works best for you. <3

Incase I can't be on to change the daily one day, here's the list of dailies so one of you can just copy & paste it into the comments:

January 1:
Camp has officially started! In addition to being the first day of camp, today’s New Year’s Day! Write about either your New Year’s Eve experience or what you think the new year is going to be like! 300 words for 400 points! An extra 100 points if you share your writing.

January 2:
January 2nd is National Science Fiction Day! We are going to write a scene to celebrate! “Traveling through time was all fun and games until…one of us got stuck.” Write a 400-word scene based upon this for 500 points! 100 extra points if you share your writing!

January 3:
Go to https://www.mapcrunch.com/ then explore the area where you’re placed. After you’ve explored, write a story about that area. Maybe someone wakes up and has to figure out where they are! Or someone doesn’t speak the language spoken there. 300 words for 400 points! An extra 100 points if you share your writing!

January 4:
Today’s National Trivia Day! Find a random trivia fact and write a 500 word story about it for 600 points! An extra 100 points if you share your writing.

January 5:
Write a 200 word autobiographical story. Rewrite it as a fictional story (it doesn't have to be a realistic fiction story!) of at least 200 words. Then, rewrite it IN VERSE! Make sure it's at least 100 words. 600 words for 800 points! An extra 100 points if you share your writing!

January 6:
Write a short piece from the point of view of an inanimate object. Is it a weapon from your favorite fantasy novel? Your main character's watch? A journal sitting on the shelf? Use personification and descriptive language to add humor to your story, and give your object a distinct personality. 400 words for 500 points! An extra 100 if you share your points!

January 7:
Write a short piece of JWC fanfiction based on your cabin and the people in it. 300 words for 400 points!

January 8:
Cabin wars! It’s best to consult with your (co)leader(s) before attacking another cabin as your (co)leader(s) may have a strategy/tactic. Here are the wars:

Cabin wars! Write 2,000 words as a cabin in the next 4 hours or else lose 600 points. Extra challenge: write only in third person omniscient as a group for 100 points!

Cabin wars! Three people have to write 850 words each in 4 hours or else lose 900 points. Extra challenge: Write using at least 10 metaphors. For each person who does so, you earn 100 points!

Cabin wars! Write 4,000 words as a cabin in 6 hours or else lose 500 points. Extra challenge: write only non-fiction as a group for 200 points!

Cabin wars! Four people have to write 500 words each in 4 hours or else lose 700 points. Extra challenge: Write using only two characters (animals count as characters). For each person who does so, you earn 100 points!

January 9:
(This one is also based off of a SWC daily) Go to this random song generator: https://www.chosic.com/random-songs-generator-with-links-to-spotify-and-youtube/ and generate a song. Once you have a song, choose a lyric from it and write a song off of it! 300 words for 400 points! An extra 100 points if you share your writing.

January 10:
What's a dream you've had recently? Expand on it to make a story! Write 400 words for 500 points!

January 11:
Find something nearby, maybe a pencil or a phone. Write about how important that item is to daily life. 200 words for 300 points! 100 extra points if you share your writing!

January 12:
Go outside! Describe what you saw and what the weather is. 300 words for 400 points!

January 13:
Come up with a crazy creature! It could be a turtle with a rabbits head, or a sheep who has the tail of a monkey and some ENORMOUS eyes. Describe your creature! 300 words for 400 points! 100 extra points for sharing you writing!

January 14:
Write a letter to a character of yours. What would you say to them? Would you let them know how much you appreciate them? Or ask them if they like the story they're in? 350 words for 400 points! 100 extra points if you share your writing!

January 15:
Journal about your life and your writing. How are you feeling about it all? 450 words for 500 points!

January 16:
Today is National Nothing Day! Give yourself a break, there won’t be a daily today.

January 17:
Write a name in the comments. Any random name, or one you like! Someone else will take that name and make a character solely based off the name! Now, you will pick a name from someone else and write an outline of your character. 300 words for 400 points! An extra 100 points if you share your writing!

January 18:
Today is going to be fairly simple. Write 300 words in your cabin’s genre for 400 points! 100 extra points if you share your writing.

January 19:
Go to this project https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/3071756/ and generate two names. Then write a story about a meeting between them! 200 words for 300 points.

January 20:
Create a new character based on one of the colors below. Write a 200-word scene using this new character! If completed, you earn 300 points for your cabin!

● Red: confident and determined. Their desire to live life fully makes them prone to be bold, extroverted, and expressive.

● Orange: good-natured, social, and ambitious. They show positivity and infectious enthusiasm to those around them.

● Yellow: idealistic, attentive, and fun. They are energetic and optimistic with a logical, systematic approach to things.

● Green: balanced and affectionate. Their sense of adventure is balanced with their peaceful nature.

● Blue: intelligent and trustworthy. Their charming nature makes others want to be around them.

● Purple: creative, knowledgeable, and a little mysterious. They follow their keen intuition and are rarely wrong.

January 21:
Today is National Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! Think about what life would be like if animals could speak. Maybe your pet is very demanding, or you go to a zoo and the animals tell you things they’ve overheard. 500 words for 600 points! An extra 100 points if you share your work!

January 22:

Cabin wars! Four people have to write 500 words each in 4 hours or else lose 700 points. Extra challenge: Write using only two characters (animals count as characters). For each person who does so, you earn 100 points!

January 23:
(This one is based off a daily from SWC) Put four words in the main cabin. Find someone else's set of words and write a story based on it. 300 words for 400 points! An extra 100 if you share your writing!

January 24:
What’s someplace you would like to visit one day? Write 200 words about that place for 300 words!

January 25:
It’s National Opposite Day! So instead of writing, you’re going to read! Read 15 pages for 100 points!

January 26:
What's your favorite animal? Write about that animal and how they can get over their worst fear. 600 words for 400 points.

January 27:
Find someone from your enemy's cabin and roleplay with them about JWC. 250 word minimum for 300 points.

January 28:
(Based off a SWC daily) Pick any lyric from any song and translate it from English into another language. From that language into another language. Repeat that as many times as you want! (You should do it at least 5 times.) Then finally after you’re satisfied it’s been changed enough, translate it back to English and write a story based off the new lyric! 500 words for 600 points! An extra 100 if you share it!

January 29:
Find a nice spot to sit, and pull out a piece of paper and pen. Write about the difference between handwriting and typing. Which do you like better? 300 words for 200 points.

January 30:
Some stories have amazing dialogue that you wish you could write yourself. But sometimes it is easy to write simple dialogue when you are so focused on the plot. Write a random sentence of dialogue that is important to a story. Post it in the main cabin and find someone else's sentence of dialogue to put in your writing. 400 words for 300 points.

January 31:
Write about a world that is exactly like ours, except it is missing one thing. For instance, it could have no money, and you see how this affects the world. Write 500 words for 600 points. 100 extra points if you share your writing.

Okay, I have one question before camp starts tomorrow. For cabin wars, do you just go into another cabin and challenge them to one of the challenges? Or is there something special you have to do?

Yeah, for cabin wars, you post one of the wars into another cabin like this:

“Hi, from Huff! Cabin wars! Write 2,000 words as a cabin in the next 4 hours or else lose 600 points. Extra challenge: write only in third person omniscient as a group for 100 points!”

Then, campers from the cabin you warred, respond to that comment saying something like “+125 words from a short scene.” Until they have completed the war. They will let you know if it is completed by saying something like “This war is finished!”

Are we having a shield of time after a cabin is warred that they cannot be warred? How long would it be?
