i dont know how to record music
If you want to record your own sounds: i dont know how to record
1. Click on any sprite
2. Click on the “Sounds” Tab
3. Click on the microphone symbol under where it says “New Sound”
4. Click on the Circular RECORD button under the sound visualisation (next to the triangular PLAY button and the square STOP button)
5. Scratch will then record any sounds you make.
6. Click the square STOP button to save your recording!
Hope this helps

If it isn't working for you, make sure your microphone isn't muted in your sound settings.
No I don't make projects anymore. I left some time ago.
I only check the forums every now and then, but other than that consider me retired.

First of all, you need a mic. If you don't have one, you can't record any sounds. it did not work for me!
Second, is it muted?
(Follow the above posts for more details, I don't even have a mic)
