Scratch for commercial purposes
Is using the site for commercial purposes allowed? I don't mean selling projects, what I meant is like sponsored projects and linking to your merchandise on your profile/projects (not spamming commercial advertisements)
It would be something like this:
It would be something like this:
This project is sponsored by the VPN company, get a 10% discount at www.thevpncompany.com/sharkode (not a real url)or this
Buy sharkode logo t-shirts, key rings, or teddy target at www.wasteyourmoney.com/sharkode (again, not a real url)

No, report any links you find to people selling anything or asking for finanial benefit of any kind.
They may encorage childeren to waste money on useless junk permium merchandise that they won't benefit from and would lead them from good money practices.

Scratch does not allow commercial advertising and such on its sight. People who sold merchandise have been banned, and many comments selling objects were deleted.
It's a signature. People put jokes in it.Sadly, my forum signature was hacked by Kajbruh kaj didn't even hack ya know

The Terms of Use has thisscratch wont allowSource? …
However, the Scratch Team reserves the right to block any commercial use of Scratch that, in the Scratch Team's sole discretion, is harmful to the community. Harmful commercial use includes spamming or repeated advertisement through projects, comments, or forum posts.
I take that to mean someone might be able to post a non-harmful commercial link one time such as “here’s the link to were I bought my Glitter jar” in a comment to someone but doing it often or somewhere that is seen over and over (in projects or about me section, or multiple comments) is not allowed.

Both of the examples you give are not allowed. It is not okay to use the Scratch website to promote commercial businesses.

I'm not too sure about that since Terms of Use did not mention sponsored projects and merch, all they said was spamming

I'm not too sure about that since Terms of Use did not mention sponsored projects and merch, all they said was spammingDo note section 7.1 of the Terms of Use:
7.1 Scratch has the right to suspend your account for violations of the Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. Repeat violators may have their account deleted. The Scratch Team reserves the sole right to determine what constitutes a violation of the Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. The Scratch Team also reserves the right to terminate any account used to circumvent prior enforcement of the Terms of Use.Basically, the Scratch Team has the choice to say what they believe violates the Community Guidelines, even if it is nowhere else explicitly stated in the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use. From my time on the Scratch Team, I was told by other Scratch Team members that this sort of advertising is not okay, and I have seen such advertisements get removed. So, unless for some reason the Scratch Team's policy about this changed in the last 2 months (which I find somewhat unlikely), using the Scratch website for commercial purposes is not allowed.
