Read my reply before answering, I have changed my mind after the feedback to see that having a more visible follow count would be a bad thing!

I personally find it a huge pain to scroll down my profile and click on my followers to see how many I have.
So in order to fix that, may I present to you, an easier way to view your followers:

So instead,
Imagine you are on your profile screen.
At the very top, you see your username, when you joined scratch and your nationality. So why not add your follower amount there too?
It would just be a heck of a lot easier to open ur profile and see it instantly, instead of having to scroll down so far!

This feature would draw too much attention to the amount of followers, a feature which can create compettion for fame. We don't really want to take people away from the main feature of scratch.

I don't support the suggestion, because it would draw way too much attention to the follower count, as stated above. Remember, your follower count actually does not matter, so you shouldn't need to check it that often, and the current way, the social media aspect of scratch is reduced a little bit.

No support - It would draw much more attention to the followers count, and thus cause much more competition because of that.

I understand where you are coming from. Scratch is a coding language, not a social media site. It's just my personal nit-pick but I understand why not much attention is drawn to follower counts. Now that I think about it, scratch is about coding and education, and being part of a community, not status and fame.


It doesn't really matter how famous we are, just as long as we are having fun…

No support. Drags attention to the follower count, plus it only takes 5 seconds to scroll down and click view all. You should have 5 seconds to that. It’s not really a pain.

Considering the Scratch Team removed the follower count from the follower's tab, I don't see them reversing their decision 7 years later and also putting the count in a more recognisable place.
