Scratch has crashed

Please know you are NOT the only one experiencing similar issues whether that's the message page, scratcher invite when you ARE a scratcher, save project button gone, no share project option, commenting glitches, studio glitches, etc.

All the glitches and things happening right now are because scratch has crashed. ST is already aware of the issue and i'm sure they are working hard to try and fix it as soon as possible.

I experienced all those issues too and if you look around a bit before making a topic you will see that you are NOT alone. Scratch has CRASHED

We don't know when it will be fixed but please please please don't make a new topic. Many people are complaining and probably bombarding scratch team when they are trying to fix the issue. This is a problem that has to do with the API or AWS and we don't know when it'll be fixed but do not stress.

Thank you to the people who read this before stressing out. I admit i freaked out a little too, i started contacting scratch team but listen, they are getting bombarded with messages (i'd imagine) considering the amount of people freaking out in and getting confused in the forums…

Yeah, it's pretty much confirmed to be from the API. If you try to go on the API, you get an error. (Example: https://api.scratch.mit.edu/users/google-translated/messages/count which is the first API I have open lol) (if you're wondering it's just a message count for one of my alts)

For me, not just Scratch crashed. My entire Chromebook reset, and every single website has forgotten my activity and all that, so every website thinks I'm new to it before I sign in, as it signed me out of every website on the Internet. Every setting I've made is gone, and, of course, Scratch crashed. I don't think these are related though, so it's probably just a Chromebook problem. The same thing happened to my brother earlier today. I am quite confused on why for me, it seems like the Internet has crashed.

Hmm… i have a chromebook so that's odd…. mine didn't do that… i believe that si just your computer and they are unrelated

I think it has to do with AWS problems or in proper terms, Amazon’s web hosting service is having problems

Hmmm… i'm not sure… Maybe the API has to do with it as well, the API is down and that is what wrongs aspects, such as the msg page, in scratch running

Mhm! This problem is simply out of our control and all we can do is be patient i guess? and help explain this to other people…. idk when it'll be over but some people were freaking out that scratch was gone forever and to ‘#bringbackscratch’

I think you mean they won't sticky one… actually there are a number stickied by non ST members… i'm not sure what they meant but whatever it means when a topic has a dot point… perhaps they meant that? or… idk =l but this has a dot point (last i checked) so that's good i guess

Please don't include the word API and stuff if you don't know what is wrong with the API.

I don't think ST will sticky this one. There are better topics out there now, which isn't in full caps and big tags.
Griffpatch's new game has recently brought lag on scratch, which has crashed scratch a few times before.

No, they do sticky non-st topics. It just has to be detailed, informative and constructive.
