Cowboy Cabin Leader Discussion
Just saw this! This discussion is a good idea to hide our cabin secrets. xD I'll delete the comment with the link on my pf. We could continue talking about matching pfps here. 25 lassos seems good. So maybe we could vector trace images of lassos, cowboy hats, cactuses, etc. in our cabin colors for pfps? Or like you said, we could draw their ocs. Which do you think is better?

Or we could do both…

Hmm..well we would have a maximum of 10 camper pfps plus ours which would be 12. xD I guess we should go with vector traced because they are easier to make and less time-consuming. Now we have to decide which of us will make them? Oh, and Btw, what are our cabin colors?

Also, maybe we could say that:
-Critiquing someone's writing = 1 lasso
-Doing the in-cabin daily = 1 lasso
-Doing the mc daily = 2 lassos
-Doing the mc weekly = 3 lassos
The closest symbol I could find to lassos were these: ୧ or ୨. I wasn't sure if they would match better with lassos than the diamond but I'm okay with any symbol. xD

Okay! Do you know what our cabin colors are? I think I saw a few shades of brown. xD I guess I'll make the pfps!
Do you have any in-cabin dailies in mind? We have to make 31 after all. Maybe you and I could make a list of our ideas for 15 in-cabin dailies each? And then the extra one could be the introduction day on the first day of camp.

For cabin colours, I was thinking 641C1C, AB835A, and 4B2B17?

I copy and pasted those color numbers and I think I saw a dark red, a brown, and a light purple? It was hard to say because different results came up for them.
I'll start working on my list of 15 in-cabin dailies.

Ok! It was supposed to be a light brown, not light purple, but the other ones are right! I copy and pasted those color numbers and I think I saw a dark red, a brown, and a light purple? It was hard to say because different results came up for them.

Here's my list!
1. Write about your favorite historical figure. It could be a historical leader, a singer from the 1950s, or your great-grandmother! Write 200 words about your favorite historical figure, what happened in their life, and what makes them special to you! If you do so, you'll earn one lasso!
2. What is your favorite historical fiction book? Write the name of the book in the comments and say what time period it was set in! Respond to someone else for one lasso!
3. What do you know about cowboys? Look up some information about them and write a 300-word scene with a cowboy character in it! If you do so, you'll earn one lasso!
4. How well do you know your cabin mates? Go to one of your cabin mates' profiles and start a conversation! Let us know who you talked to for one lasso!
5. Find and watch a 20-year-old movie (preferably about cowboys xD). How different was it compared to movies now? Write how you think movie productions, storylines, and effects have changed since then. 150 words for one lasso!
6. Take a look at the story in the description. How do you think the story could go? Write a scene that adds onto the story. 200 words for one lasso!
7. What makes good historical fiction? Is it the plot? The time period it is in? Write about how you write historical fiction, and what you have learned from writing it! 250 words for one lasso!
8. Journal about JWC! What have you learned? Who have you met? Write 300 words for one lasso!
9. Write a historical fiction about royalty from the past! 450 words for one lasso!
10. Find a cabin mate and pair up for some writing! You can write in any genre, but you have to go back and forth in a collaborative story. Write at least 150 words in your responses and make sure that both of you get to respond at least twice. Do this for one lasso each! Have fun!
11. Play twenty questions! This means that one person will choose an animal or an object. This person will keep this item in mind as the other person has twenty questions to ask. After asking twenty questions, the person can finally guess what the animal/object is! If you guess right, you win! But no matter if you win or lose, both players earn a lasso!
12. Critique someone's writing! Make sure to be kind and give constructive criticism. Write a 100 word critique for 2 lassos!
13. How would someone from the past react to things today? It's up to you! Write about someone from any time in the past who is transported to modern day. 500 words for a lasso!
14. What's your favorite song? Write about how that song makes you feel. 250 words for one lasso!
15. What is your favorite historical time period? Comment what it is and what makes it special to you! No word minimum, but you must respond to at least one person. If you do so, you'll earn a lasso!

What would you like our cabin's most-likely-tos to be? I was thinking we would probably have 4 or 5 of them.
Here's a few ideas I had for them.
Most likely to write a bestselling historical fiction book
Most likely to rock a cowboy hat every day xD
Most likely to do every weekly
Most likely to have an obsession with country music
What do you think?

Okay! Maybe you could add onto the end with something like this:
You step inside the cabin, looking around at the gorgeous oak wood walls. Colorful hand-made rugs brighten the room, and multiple windows let in the light. You spot a girl by the window with long brown curly hair and gray-blue eyes. Freckles dot her nose, and she's bundled up in a cozy gray sweater and jeans. The girl walks up to you, beaming.
“Hi! You must be a new camper! I'm Jean, another owner of the Cowboy cabin. I can't wait for us to get started!” she says, motioning you forward.
You nod, following the two girls, excited to meet everyone else.
