Hello to whoever seems to be reading this! I am somebody that has been using Scratch for almost a year now and I don’t have a lot of popularity as those people that are coming up on a month of joining. My games usually get an average of around 4 plays all the time. How can I gain popularity on Scratch?

You can advertise in your signature and post a lot of stuff on the Discussion Forums (here) without spamming. Or you can just be nice, and people will want to use/play the things you made.

You can advertise in ur siggy, add ur projects to add all studios or unnoticed studios and advertise in Show and Tell.

My advice to become popular is to try and enter contests. That’s how I got to where I am (although I’m not exactly very popular tbh- but still-)

Put all of your stuff into a lot of studios that are related to your project.

be active

be friendly

nice thumbnails

put ur projects in studios

Here, I think this might help.

Look to gain popularity you must not do ordinary stuff like PlTfOrMeR or ScRoLlInG ones. Do something unique! Add them to studios which allows advertising!

Scratch is not for popularity, it is for fun. These are four tips that might help you, but I do not recommend to do stuff that other users tell you to do, like F4F (follow for follow)

1. Make better projects.

You know folks like griffpatch, they are popular because they make high quality games and other things. That's why you have to first learn more about scratch then think of popularity. Have fun before thinking of being popular.

2. Be patient.

Being patient is the best way to do this. once you've done step 1, wait. Don't force anyone to see their projects, let them think if they want to watch/play it or not.

3. Add those projects to big studios.

This is an example: You've made a game that you've worked for days, and you want to be patient. That is the way you want. But, You also want more views, hearts and favs quickly, you add them to big studios, you should add them for example “Add all the projects of scratch” studio which as over 10,00 follows, so you add them

and last,

4. Compete in contests.

You know the Olympics, it's a sports contest, so in scratch there are game contests, art contest, pfp contest, thumbnail contest, follower special contest, etc. They also offer follows, favs and hearts. You will also have fun, and popularity (some and temporary), which you want.

Those are the tips, and again, Scratch is not for fame, it's for fun.

start with bad projects , generic projects , projects that sucks etc. ignore those telling you that your project is generic or smth(just don't make generic projects all the time lol ). your project will eventually get better

impress people with coding.
make awesome projects which are less in scratch!
keep an oc for your profile icon and using it in your projects.
Help studios.
