What *Programming* language is scratch?

I'm not sure because most languages have Variables, operators, bools, and most stuff in scratch. My guess would be JS.

According to Wikipedia, Scratch is influenced by “Logo, Smalltalk, HyperCard, StarLogo, AgentSheets, AgentCubes, Etoys”

Personally, I say it is block which is one of the programming languages made for children.

Scratch is a programming language made for kids. It isn't really similar to any other real coding languages.

Technically, Scratch is like other websites like Tynker, Code.org + more. It is different but similar in a way.

The blocks are inpsired by other programming languages,
I don't know what's the closest one, i think none of them because other programming languages are more complex of scratch.

scratch is run in javascript, which is how many of the blocks work.

I think the text-based language scratch is most similar to Squeak and Logo.
The block-based language scratch is most similar to is called LogoBlocks

Blockly by Google. Google helped Scratch is based a bit off of Blockly and JavaScript, So I would assume that's the closest.

Yes, but Scratch 1.4 and 2.0 came before blockly, and Scratch 3.0 is based on Scratch 2, not on blockly. Scratch is similar to blockly though.
