Wait, this is a thing to delete is students' accounts be deleted after class is like, over?
Like, imagine, –
You spent hours on your project that you have made for days, and the next day,
You notice that your account is deleted and you didn't download the projects just incase.
So this is a BIG SUPPORT.

Yep, support. I think it’s weird how your acc is deleted after a class is over and it only confuses and upsets people so I definitely think this should be changed.

Yes its unfair like think like you made a project and it got popular and featured you would be so happy wow my project got featured then when the class is over your account is gone then you will be really sad because you lost all your views on the project all the people who followed you,you get really sad so this should be stoopped even if i am not a student account i still understand how it feels

Make Student Accounts Not be Deleted Once the Class is Over
I remember reading on the Scratch Wiki, about a month ago, that student accounts get deleted once the class is overI know how to stop this to stop this find a youtuber who uses scratch and not only does scratch tutorials but reviews too then request him /her about this then all the thing on the youtuber if his/her video got viral then other youtubers will too do it then finally scratch team will make student account not to be deleted after class option
This, in my opinion, is unfair.
Lets say that a student account got popular. everyone would be so confused when they suddenly left! Sure, they could move accounts, but still! and, I have seen a popular student acc before, so it does happen
What it could be, is when a student account is made, it can ask ‘Do you want this account to be deleted after the class?’ or, an option to move a student account to a new class, such as the next year
Sorry if I seem a bit paranoid, but I know I would get upset if all of my hard work was lost. The student's friends might forever wonder what happened to them
edit: also, they should remove them being able to see whenever they love or favorite something. This honestly seems pointless and a waste of space, and they also might not want the teacher to know what they view

Yep and if they have some private things to say liek anything like that then it wouldn't be so good so i think its unfairyeahHehe. It was pretty close.lol you Ninja'd meYep, looking at https://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Student_and_Teacher_AccountsDoes this happen? If it does, yeah that's not right. There should be an option to convert student accounts into Scratcher accounts.I read it on the Scratch Wiki. It might have changed though, but idk.
I honestly have been against this for a while- but haven't complained until nowIf the class ends, the teacher can close the class. The students who are a part of the class will then no longer have the ability to log in.(view above post)
anyway, I also don't think they should see when they comment. A comment can be very personal, if you know what I mean
For all you know, they could be planning a suprise for the teacher- doing this would disable the suprise!

The student might get framed because projects can be edited, also, it's up to you to like/fave whatever you wanted to (as long as they are not your own projects)also, they should remove them being able to see whenever they love or favorite something. This honestly seems pointless and a waste of space, and they also might not want the teacher to know what they viewThe thing is, what if the student goes around loving and favoriting inappropriate projects? The teacher would probably need to know what they're seeing..

Ya anything which is non educational is inappropriate for themSchool has to be all-ages, same with Scratch. Nothing could be appropriate for Scratch but not school unless schools count anything noneducational and distracting “inappropriate” but I don't think that would count.I think some projects could be appropriate for Scratch but not for schoolBut aren't inappropriate projects forbidden?also, they should remove them being able to see whenever they love or favorite something. This honestly seems pointless and a waste of space, and they also might not want the teacher to know what they viewThe thing is, what if the student goes around loving and favoriting inappropriate projects? The projects will be banned anyway, since Scratch is for all ages. So I doubt something like this is going to happen. I don't think accounts should even be restricted unless it's a New Scratcher account.
And I don't see how it's pointless or a waste of space.

and it's also possible that it is a really inappropriate project and the ST hasn't taken it down yet and the student chose not to report itYa anything which is non educational is inappropriate for themSchool has to be all-ages, same with Scratch. My student account wasn't deleted when my class was over. It still exists, and the class ended 2 years ago.

My student account wasn't deleted when my class was over. It still exists, and the class ended 2 years ago.I'm pretty sure you can tell if a class ended or not if it says “(Ended)” next to the class name on the student profile.

Oh, sorry, I didn't mean that the class still exists, I meant that the account does. I should have clarified that.My student account wasn't deleted when my class was over.
