For some reason my project is not saving. It's not a huge project but it isn't small either. Can big audio files stop it from saving? I dont know why it's not saving.

Scratch has a size limit of 50 MB per project. If your audio files are driving over that limit then it will not save.

I'm not sure if it's over 50mb. I'll check but I dont think so

It is almost certainly a big audio file. Try deleting them and see if it saves, if so try reducing the size of the audio. If you have used the Scratch sound editor to modify any .mp3 sound files it will have converted them to .wav. It's better to do editing in other software and save as mp3 before uploading.

It is not because of a big audio file. The biggest one I had was 17MB, and i chopped it in half (becoming like 7MB) and it still doesn't Save.

It started not saving so I brought it to the offline editor, now I've brought it out to post and it still won't save. What are the main reasons a project won't save?

How do i check the project.json file size? I looked at the only files that would be over 10MB and they are all not.

Also, people are saying that a long list can slow up a project? How long is a long list?

My project is a remix, but when I downloaded mine, it says 3.54 MB, but when I try to load it, it says 3636 KB, and it won't save. Can I do something about it?

How do you check a project's .json size?
I've been working on a project in the offline editor for a while now, and when I tried moving it to main scratch, it won't save. It doesn't have any long audio or really large costumes, but the SB3 file is 21.7 MB. Is that the problem? If it's too big for scratch, is there any way I can put an SB3 file into some other place?

I have a sound that is 18.1 MB and scratch will not like it. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/496791839/ is the project that I am trying to insert a sound. A SOUND THAT IS 18.1 MB!!!!

Most Audio Files or images cannot be saved because of a large file size (MB, GB). This can cause an issue for Scratch to save. Try deleting them or make a copy of the project.

Any questions should ask to ST or in discussion posts.

I know this issue. It is normally caused by too big project size.

I had the same problem. It’s definitely because of a large audio file. Maybe try cutting the audio into two parts. It worked for me

For some dumb reason, anytime i use a matrix gif or a static matrix image. It never saves the project.[

you can rename the extension from sb3 to zip to see the file dimension
