Why is there a game of hidden tetris in Scratch 1.4 Developer Mode?

Hi! So i was messing around with scratch 1.4 developer menu, and i found out that there is a tetris game morph.

While this is very cool; What is it suppose to be used for? Did the ST put this in to look busy, or something?

Or is this part of what comes with Squeak?

I have a lot of questions on what this is suppose to be for.

Its… sometimes buggy… it goes wide, and the Tetris thing goes out of place… I don't know what its causing this to happen.
Any Ideas?

I'm gonna say first that I don't completely understand what is going on in the picture, but I was able to find a source that might help explain why that's there. Here's the info for Scratch Morphs in general, and here is information specifically for the Tetris one.

A simple game of Tetris that one can play in Scratch. It is fully functional, however there is a lot of blank space left on the morph.

Looks like it's a Squeak feature (it's called Morphic-Tetris in the system browser).

I wonder if someone speedruns scratch squeak tetris any% glitchless (world record)

Its kinda like having pre-installed games, when you set up an operating system or something. Pretty cool.

When they have free time, some developers love to place little easter eggs in programs for fun. ::motion
This morph in particular is probably just a very neat tech demo. ::motion cap
