it blocks its own mf software the heck

Agreed, in my city, students cannot even watch YouTube on school computer so we have to use incognito mode. Even though students use it for educational purposes or to listen to music so they can concentrate better
But TBH in my city the entire school system is just bad

The whole world's school system is terrible

my school does a lot of weird things:
1. blocks inspect element
2. blocks incognito mode
3. instead of regular google search results, you have to have the same version as the Google Slides/Docs version (only in the computer class not the chromebooks)
4. the nickelodeon website (despite there being nothing to do on there anymore)
5. blocks a LOT of harmless youtube videos
6. blocks youtube thumbnails (except on the homepage, that's it)
7. blocks Google Hangouts
8. downloading browser extensions is blocked. (luckily i got an adblocker before that rule was set in place, but i REALLY wanted one that made every website dark mode)
