sprite not going to 00

So, I have this mechanic where if you shoot, it spawns hitscans, however, instead of going to 00, it goes wherever it wants to.

In the hitscan sprite it has a piece of code that says

when green flag clicked
forever
set x to (hitscan x -  SCROLL X)
set y to (hitscan y -  SCROLL Y)
end

something like that. I'm unaware of what you fully want it to do, but that's what's stopping it from going to 0, 0

Aren't you already setting x and y to (hitscan x - scroll x) / y? That might be contradicting your go to x and y.
