I have a question, so say you make an alt because you want to start fresh, but still keep your stuff on another account. do you get scratcher status if you ask the scratch team and show proof it's your alt account and that the other main account you used before is a scratcher, that you get scratcher on alt? or do you have to get scratcher manually by being active and all that stuff.

No, you have to do all hard work again. You dont automatically become a scratcher on a new account just because you have had an account before.

As others have said, you have to earn the Scratcher status on both accounts. Getting the Scratcher status can take as little as 2 weeks, but for many people it has taken a month, or even longer. In order to get the Scratcher status quicker, you can try:
-Sharing at least two projects
-Loving and/or favoriting a few projects
-Following other Scratchers
-Writing comments
-Writing forum posts (this is not as necessary, but might help the process go faster.)
If you do a good mix of the things listed above, you are likely to get you the Scratcher status quickly.
