Is my website for a project series ok for Scratch.

So recently, I made a website for my Celebrities Parodies that are becoming really popular. The basic idea of the site is to let users view information on the Celebrities featured in my parodies and the episodes.

Now the reason I'm not allowed to link my main site is because of “unmoderated chat” which I still don't get. So I had comments on the profiles of Celebrities. But they have to be approved by me. I later removed the comments because they weren't working properly when I tested them. I'm thinking of adding them back.

Anyway, I also want to add a forum so users can give suggestions on what episodes I should make next. But that would lead to the ban hammer being swung on my site.

One last problem is that the sites I make are all under the same domain. (dawnrooney27.wixsite.com). It could be a problem if my domain is blacklisted. I don't think it is though…

The site is still in beta so not much stuff is on there. I only have profiles of Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj.

And there is a private chat but that's only for talking to me and me only. It's like business chat. Connecting you with an agent or whatever…

Anyway, I would like to know if my site would be allowed. See it for yourself here if you need to.

Is there any way to allow users to contribute to the pages on your site? Maybe it will take a lot off of your hands. Also, hire some more moderators. I wouldn't recommend adding forums though. And even if you do, I would like to be a moderator on those too.

To sum up what I just said, I think your site should be fine.

But I need a real answer. Not an opinion.

If your website features a chat that is not moderated by Scratch Team, then it probably would not be okay. Even though you're the one moderating it, you can still see the messages, and have access to people's personal info (and maybe even inappropriate content) if they sent it to you in a message.

If it only contains content suitable for Scratch and nothing else - then yeah.

If you're sharing a site with a forum or chat, then ofcourse, it's not allowed.
If you need approve each comment manually, you might think it's allowed. But it's the exact opposite, since users could share personal info like “contact me at insert phone number here” and you'd see it, so that breaks the CG “Be safe: keep personal and contact information private.”.

I think it's best to just share a text-only site, with no user interaction whatsoever.
You should probably try this tool to help you make a site, because wix is a little… shady: https://github.com/LankyBox01/ImpactJSON

Actually, Wix added a feature so I can choose not to see the personal information of users.

What's the problem with cookies?

Third PARTY cookies that TRACK you across various OTHER sites —

edit — Why is your site loading in websockets?!!?

Because of unmoderated chat your website is definitely not allowed.

That's for contacting me and me only. I ignore anything not related to questions about the site, etc.

Still, it's unmoderated and Scratch may automatically consider that as inappropriate even though it's there for business reasons. If you removed that feature, it might be okay.

Exactly — wix is super sketchy, so much that even you don't know what other secret connections are made to the person who is visiting your site.

Scratch doesn't allow users to give out their usernames for platforms such as Instagram, FaceBook, Twitter, etc. This is because people can privately communicate with each other - just like how it is in your site.

Exactly. Wix doesn't give you full control over your site.

I'm don't really know how to use JavaScript. I'm also very lazy, which is why I use Wix to build my websites.

i dont think suggesting your experimental website editor is a good way to help someone with a completely unrelated issue.
