the translate block can use

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 92.0.4515.159, No Flash version detected

hello, I am working on a project which uses the “translate” function but this block can only translate the word “hello”.
When I try to translate another word like “test” it shows me “ ”.
I can't finish my project until the problem is resolved.

thanks!

I think it's the translate service having issues.

Also can you edit the title to be “Translate blocks not working because the server is down” by going here?

Perhaps because someone keeps running projects on turbowarp that loop and try to translate things like “78137.26”, “87492.23”, “46659.98” every 10ms.

Oh - so did Scratch also become slow because of that or was it just my internet?

The translate server is very slow now

Issue: Output of ‘translate () to ()’ blocks take way too long to respond and give a ‘nul’ output.
My internet connection is fine, this has been a problem for 3-4 days now…It affects my projects when I code but it also affects when I look at other projects, like ‘Scratch Translate’ which works fine for others but not me….
I recreated the issue here

Any fix for this? why does this happen?

thanks

so someone is crashing the server on purpose? uhh this is so annoying, im getting curated soon and I thought making my project translate would be cool to be more inclusive to other languages but I may have to remove the feature TT

Did it? It's nice to hear that! My detector doesn't work right now though… so there might be some uptime and some downtime.

(It feels right to share this on TurboWarp so that not as many people find it from my profile and start making traffic with it. Although when I try it on TurboWarp, it always instantly shows the error status, so maybe TurboWarp stopped accepting translate requests so the servers don't get more overstrained, but I could maybe try on Scratch at a different time.)

I think the ST officially fixed the problem. Numbers don't seem to be processed by the server, and I guess that was the fix. I only guessed this is only from testing another project, but hopefully the translate server will remain active!
