Scratch Team be like:Well, you have to remember that the Scratch Team members are human too. They're capable of making mistakes. They're not perfect. And you have to remember how incredibly small the moderation team is compared to the amount of users on this site. In addition, you must remember that there is, almost always, two sides to a story. A Scratcher can complain about how they were unfairly banned all they want, and chances are the community will stand up for them, unknowing to the fact that their ban was perfectly justified. Just because a user calls what the ST does bad and unfair doesn't change what the Community Guidelines And Terms of Use say, both of which a lot of people completely ignore reading when joining, and then proceed to complain about Scratch and the Scratch Team when their ignorance leads to them getting alerts. I've seen some good explanations to why they did what they did with this update, primarily being a budget thing. Just because you and others may call the Scratch Team “communist” or compare the site to George Orwell's ‘1984,’ doesn't mean it's right to ignore the Scratch Team's side of the story. A lot of us were, and still are angry with the update, but it's by understanding why the ST did what they did, that we can learn to appreciate, or at least understand what they do, and why they do it. Honestly, the Scratch Team is incredibly underappreciated and is constantly under fire for something. You have to remember that this is their site, and they will run it how they see fit. And while you may not see past all the drama that users make up from the silliest things, they do their best, and this site wouldn't be able to exist without them. Without the Scratch Team, there would be no Scratch. This site would easily purge into chaos within a day without the Scratch Team, and would easily end up being shut down within a couple weeks. They try their best, they do their best, and they do what they think is best for all of us. Let's respect that.

incredibly small the moderation team is compared to the amount of users on this site. There are 46 ST members in total (Not moderators btw) and there were 1,905,600 new users registered on March 2021, which means like 41,426 TIMES more NEWLY joined scratchers that ST members JUST for the month of March, insane!!

anyways back on topic, studio transfer seem to be moving fast, lets predict when this will be out - I'd say sometime in early-mid September

I got 1 thing to say to your post.I thought I'd like it, but my god, it's absolutely horrible. Like, why even be a manager anymore? It's useless. You can't edit descriptions, titles, or thumbnails- I get this helps solve the issue of users promoting people they don't trust, but this is not the answer-The Scratch Team's solution to everything: Oh, people can misuse or abuse something? Ban it! Oh, it's something we just dislike a little? Ban it! Anything else? Ban it! XD

Bruh.
Scratchers: *clicks post* Scratch Team: hey, there's a tiny tiny tiny flaw in ya post, lemme delete all of them!well that's happened to me before, and i wish the scratch team had just removed the word that was the issue but it was offtopic anyway
Scratcher: hey nice project Scratch Team: oh mah god your bein' unconstructive on scratch BIG BAN!Well, saying “nice project” is unconstructive because you didn't give any feedback. I have never received an alert for this, I don't know why you think it will give you the big ban.
Scratcher: hey the neck is kinda weird Scratch Team: oh mah god you're so unfriendly on scratch BIG BAN!I don't know what that means.
Scratcher: hey did you get banned? that sux Scratch Team: oh mah god you're bein' a bully on scratch BIG BAN!Bans are only allowed to be discussed with the banned user, their parents, sometimes their teachers, and maybe law enforcement. The sentence you gave says “that sux” which seems rude to me!
Scratcher: skyscraper Scratch Team: that includes “r@p*!” BIG BAN!You wrote it like “s k y s c r a p e r” right?
Scratcher: hey please do not remix without my approval thx Scratch Team: oh mah god you're discouraging the entire scratch to remix BIG BAN!it's literally illegal to not follow the terms of the CC-BY-SA 2.0 license.

I'd just like to say that asking for people not to remix doesn't violate the license. Only taking action when someone does violates it. You give them the right to remix by posting on Scratch, and asking politely for people not to remix is fine. If someone does still remix though, then you can't do anything. It's like how you can have free software, but not want people to use it because it's still unfinished. The user can do whatever, but you can still discourage it.Scratcher: hey please do not remix without my approval thx Scratch Team: oh mah god you're discouraging the entire scratch to remix BIG BAN!it's literally illegal to not follow the terms of the CC-BY-SA 2.0 license.

It's currently against the CG to tell people not to remix, due to the fact that some people might be confused and think that you are actually right.

5.1 Except for any user-generated content, the Scratch Team owns and retains all rights in and to the Scratch code, the design, functionality, and architecture of Scratch, and any software or content provided through Scratch (collectively “the Scratch IP”). If you want to use Scratch in a way that is not allowed by these Terms of Use, you must first contact the Scratch Team. Except for any rights explicitly granted under these Terms of Use, you are not granted any rights in and to any Scratch IP.They have the power to do anything not prohibited by law with this website. They might lose donations if they do crazy things, but they can do it and no one is allowed to stop them. If you don't like it, go somewhere else

according to the scratch team no we can't complain, we just have to “get used to it” even though some people have conditions that make them feel overwhelmed and stressed out just by looking at the new studio layout, because everything is so huge and saturated, and they cannot get used to it, and even if you don't have these conditions, it can still hurt your eyes trying to focus on it for those same reasons. take a look at scratch 3.0 reception, many people still hate the initial 3.0 layout from a while back, and some have actually left scratch from it and haven't come back, so in some cases people just cannot get used to it, but the scratch team doesn't care, they're probably just gonna ban everyone who tries to get it reverted to the old layout, or even to a different layout since the old layout is now never coming back. and that's not even getting into the new limitations on studiosPlus, the scratch team literally owns scratch. I'm not sure where you are getting your information - but a lot of it is wrong. We do care. We are interested in hearing actionable suggestions from people that truly still find the design overwhelming. Please direct folks to use the Suggestions area for feedback in that area.according to the scratch team no we can't complain, we just have to “get used to it” even though some people have conditions that make them feel overwhelmed and stressed out just by looking at the new studio layout, because everything is so huge and saturated, and they cannot get used to it, and even if you don't have these conditions, it can still hurt your eyes trying to focus on it for those same reasons. take a look at scratch 3.0 reception, many people still hate the initial 3.0 layout from a while back, and some have actually left scratch from it and haven't come back, so in some cases people just cannot get used to it, but the scratch team doesn't care, they're probably just gonna ban everyone who tries to get it reverted to the old layout, or even to a different layout since the old layout is now never coming back. and that's not even getting into the new limitations on studiosPlus, the scratch team literally owns scratch. This is just a guess, but I think the complaints of the design haven't helped since they don't specify an exact alternative to make the design better? Like it does no good to say something is bad if nobody has a clue how to make it better.I'm not sure where you are getting your information - but a lot of it is wrong. We do care. Scratcher: hey the neck is kinda weird Scratch Team: oh mah god you're so unfriendly on scratch BIG BAN!You would not get banned for one comment. Also, it depends on the way the comment as worded. I don't think “Hey, the neck is kinda weird” would result in an alert.

rip scratchI mean, I that's a bit closed-minded thinking…
Scratch isn't dead over one update- I mean, looks at what happened when 3.0 released, and Scratch is still prospering. I think that a lot of people are being really impatient with the Scratch Team, and are not understanding their reasoning for why they did what they did. They're already doing stuff to improve the studios, such as with the host transferring, so I think we need to cut the ST, especially the devs, some slack, and also have some patience.
