Search for Users

Hey all,

So, on Scratch, you can use the handy search bar up there to search for your favorite projects and studios. However, you currently cannot search for individual users on Scratch. This can be pretty annoying for people who don't know about changing the URL at the top of their browser, or for people on mobile where it's harder to only change the URL. Searching the user will usually only bring up PROJECTS by them, and if not, will show projects made by other people with the user's name in the title or description. For example, searching “WazzoTV” gives you 12 results that aren't from the main WazzoTV account before there is one from it.

A handy “users” filter button would be extremely helpful for people searching for users.

Hope this suggestion makes sense!

If you are worried about necroposting, don't worry, there is no necroposting in this forum as long as you are constructive.

That's fine, just post on it again and the topic will appear back at the top of the index. The most recent post was in April anyway. Normally this is discouraged on old topics, but it's generally good practice in the Suggestions forum since we try to keep discussion about an idea to one topic.
