Only Languages that have a real country/place are allowed. For example: Did anybody add Pig Latin, because I can translate English to Pig Latin!
French (From the country of France)
Spanish (From the country of Spain)
German (From the country of Germany)
Pig Latin are not allowed, because we count them as “game language” or not a real language.
Meow is an exception though, because it was added for April Fools' day.

HUGE error in spanish translation!!!!!!!!! The translation for “login” and any mention of “enter” is “ingresar”, but ingresar means to go to the hospital! The correct translation would be “entrar”http://translate.scratch.mit.edu

You have to accept that english isn't the only language in the world and that not everyone can speak english. I always get agitated by projects that are in different language.

I signed up on http://translate.scratch.mit.edu/ and got an activation e-mail. after using the link in the e-mail, I got an error message, but the account was activated.
Another problem I have is that the contact link on the Wiki page doesn't work. I would like to get reviewer status, so I can get the strings in.
BTW I have seen a post in this thread that recommends using Google translate to do the translation job - I recommend that you don't. Google translate is fine if you wish to understand what somebody has written in another language, but it is not good enough to do actual translation work. So, please just don't.

Sorry or the double post, I don't seem to have editing privileges.
It would be really great if you didn't set XGETTEXT to sort alphabetically, because this removes all context from the strings. This makes it harder to find the strings in the interface e.g. to solve the old question “Am I translating a verb or a noun here”?

Thanks for the offer, but the foreign languages forums are here so native speakers of real languages can have Scratch in their own language. Novelty languages such as pig latin and backwards writing aren't useful to this goal, so please don't suggest them. ih i detnaw ot pleh htiw netalgip. i ma yrev doog htiw ti. i kniht taht ew dluohs ekam a oiduts rof ti.
