Warnings before getting blocked.

Just today a friend ((removed by moderator - please don't name names)) was blocked due to an “innapropriate” project, the project wasnt intended to be innaprpriate, he didn't get a warning to take down the project, could the scratch team issue out warnings to users to take down innapropriate projects instead of an instant ban?

the project was deleted and it was just a joke remix, there isnt much i can give you of what it used to be

They do issue out warnings, so unless the project broke the rules bad enough to be deleted (which they give alerts for), then I'd say that this is already implemented. I highly doubt that the ST would just delete someones project without telling them, so your friend is likely lying, whether they know it or not.

That's not the only reason for a project to be deleted by a moderator, it's just a common one. (I'm guessing, don't quote me on this. (The “it's just a common one” part, not the “that's not the only reason” part.))

More than likely what happened was the situation in Paddle2See's post.

When a project is flagged by the community enough times, the project is taken down and the project author is blocked for a short period of time. This is a safety feature to protect the community until a moderator has time to take a look at the project and decide if it is okay or not.

That may be what happened to your friend.

When a project is taken down, the creator doesn't get blocked — they just get muted for a few hours. My project was mass reported once, and I just got muted for 10 hours; I didn't get blocked.

No support, already implemented. That is, kind of. Unless your project was mass reported or you did something really severe, you'll get a warning before you get blocked. Sometimes, you'll have shared multiple things that violate the community guidelines, but you weren't checking when they all got taken down, which would result in a possible ban? Also, if you're suggesting to always use warnings before bans, no support, because what happens if someone makes an incredibly inappropriate project, makes it super popular, and then they only get a warning for that? That would be absurd.
