Please add information regarding what to do when banned onto the ban page.

Before I start, I'm just going to let you know this is my friend (removed by moderator - please don't name names) suggestion & writing to the Scratch team/suggestion page - and I'm writing on behalf of her because she is ip banned and cannot make any suggestions

"Dear Scratch Team,

I think it would be extremely helpful if you added this link the the ban page: https://mitscratch.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/4000158512-my-account-is-banned-what-should-i-do-

Why? Well, because many scratchers do not know that ‘go around a block’ is a possible ban, and many scratchers see famous scratchers do this all the time: using an alternate account to inform them that they are blocked. So, this is not a very known thing (and many scratchers don't know about the ‘contact us’ page too, and the freshdesk site, I didn't know until yesterday).

(removed by moderator - please don't name names or discuss account issues here. Use the Contact Us page. Thanks!)

Isn't this considered ban evasion/meatpuppetry, which isn't allowed?

Just because famous people did it, doesn't mean it's allowed, everyone should know this.

Scratch team just didn't know it was my sister's account and blocked her permanently
Well, you were trying to use them to say things on behalf of you, which may or may not be allowed.

Please unban my accounts and allow my network to be able to comment or post projects
If you want to get IP unbanned un IP banned?, email appeals@scratch.mit.edu with your case number in the subject, instead of telling a friend to make a forum topic for you.

Additionally, I wasn't informed on this type of stuff, so please inform people about this because they might make the same mistake too.
Isn't it common sense that using other accounts to go around a ban will only make things worse?
Also, the regular ban page is descriptive enough.

Though I do believe the IP ban page could use some work

Plus, they could link to this Scratch Wiki article (for both ban pages), but that's about it.

No, it's not a ban evasion because technically a ban evasion is “You got banned and used a different account while being banned.” Also, My friend says “sorry for Asking to be unbanned I didn't know you don't do this type of stuff on forums” (and that she “has no common sense lolll”)

True, that is the point of the suggestion, the suggestion is asking to add links on the ban page so you'll know what to do when banned: https://mitscratch.freshdesk.com/en/support/solutions/articles/4000158512-my-account-is-banned-what-should-i-do- and The scratch wiki article you suggested Because, many scratchers do not know that ban evasion is a thing.

Is it allowed for people to say things on behalf of you? (idk honestly, if that's the case please tell me, bc her sister got banned for that, and I don't think that's very fair that you get banned for talking on behalf of people… - Just my opinion though)

My friend says “Sorry, I didn't know you don't do this on forums, very sorry. That was unintentional. Sorry @dhuls, I will try to not do that again”

1. My friend didn't know that going around a ban makes things worse because she always saw famous scratchers do it all the time, and also, not every scratcher reads the ban wiki page when they get banned (I didn't even know that it existed). Additionally, she didn't know that you don't reach out to the scratch team while your banned. She just used an alternate account and reached out to an ST member while she was banned to ask why. However, she just got block on that account, and she thought it wasn't fair so she reach out again on another account etc. then eventually she got ip banned. And she wasn't informed on this type of information, so she wants to suggest to add more information to the ban pages. 2. The regular ban pages still don't inform you what to do when temporarily banned. Do the ban pages tell you that you should read the wiki article for more information, or use the contact us page to appeal a ban? Or not to use alternate accounts to message a ST member directly about a ban? (Sorry if I sound rude, just asking a couple of questions)

Yeah, they really do need some work

I'm actually not sure, though the ST does ban accounts that seem to be related to a banned account (i.e. same IP as a banned account), so that's probably why their sister got banned.
