it will broke an existing post

then could they disable it for existing posts or allow you to change between?

([foo v] ::variables)
([list v] ::list)
set [ v].y to [] ::variables
([foo v] [ v] pos :: variables)
<[] is exactly [] :: operators>
<mouse moving? ::sensing>
point towards x: () y: () ::motion

glide () secs to [sprite v] ::motion

we reach 410 + 10 posts :: sound

What happens when someone quotes an existing post, or a post by someone who doesn't use BBCode?

i call that confusing lol
But you made that intentionally confusing.

is understandable and readable.
I'd argue markdown is actually less readable.
**bold**                vs. [b]bold[/b]

_italic_ vs. [i]italic[/i]

~~strike~~ vs. [s]strike[/s]

`monospace` vs. [code]monospace[/code]
---------------------------------------------------------
* 123 [list][*]123
* 456 vs. [*]456
* 789 [*]789[/list]

Plus no color/center tags…
I'm sorry? Markdown looks a lot more readable than BBCode to me… (Probably because I'm used to it )
Though I still don't really support this suggestion.

No support. BBCode is a useful markup language and lets you do more with your posts. How would we be able to do this without it?

when flag clicked
say [Hello, world!] for (2) seconds :: looks

I don't see a point in this. Maybe it's confusing for people who haven't used it before but we have the buttons and we can also preview our posts to see what we've done, meaning new scratchers can test out their stuff without harming anyone.

This is my forum signature, here it's okay to… forget it, you've probably seen hundreds of these signatures before.
