hi i was wondering why “twitter.com” isn't censored in comments.. anyone who has been on the platform for more than 10 minutes can agree with me that it really shouldn't be linked to on scratch.

it contains

• requirement to be over 13
  
• personal information on sign up
  
• unmoderated chat
  
• private chat
  
• discussion unfit for scratch
  
• unspeakable things
  

is it because the scratch team has an official twitter account? i personally don't understand why twitter.com is allowed to be linked to, but you can get muted for linking to the homepages of other social medias.

I think OP's concern is that Discord is censored whereas Twitter isn't, which is inconsistent and confusing

Honestly, this would be a good idea for a Suggestion. They may have glossed over it when censoring, although with the popularity of Twitter, that would be canny difficult. Sometimes censorship suggestions are looked down on for raising attention to a bad thing, so you may want to use contact us.

They are talking about how Scratch has not banned people from sending links to their Twitter page. People can still access Twitter when they aren't an adult, as mentioned, it's 13+, and 13 is the third-highest age distribution of new Scratchers (source), so your point of it being irrelevant is invalid.

That's irrelevant. The point is a lot of Scratchers are eligible to use Twitter, which means that there's a higher chance of people trying to link to Twitter, which could have inappropriate content.

Good point. disc*rd is censored, why shouldn't twitter be? As well as the fact that scratch cencors all sites with an un-moderated free chat, and twitter has that.

Not only do I agree with the fact that it needs to be censored, but I know that they're are many R18 and innapropriate content that's uncensored (especially if you use the web version with a link to a profile/page).

Cheddargirl said that they are working on censoring it and that the lack of censorship was likely oversight.

Yeah the other day I saw someone post a link (on the forums) to one of CubeUpload's tweets and I believe a ST member passed it off as allowed… I'm skeptical of that as well. I mean even if a Scratcher doesn't create an account, a bunch of stuff is just a click away from a (popular) tweet: profiles of those who replied to the tweet, trending headlines, etc.
