I hope they won't make any big changes — I like the current UI of the forums

It makes it easier to maintain, I think. Like as Scratch transitions to Node as a primary backend language, it makes sense that devs will become more skilled in Node and less skilled in Django, so it's best to use a platform that can be maintained by the devs they have. Also, allows a lot of Scratch 3.0 tools to be integrated with the new forums easier. XD

Like the CleanSpeak filter-bot? I mean, its perfectly possible to mute users if they say something bad in a post.

Though, they can't really include muting here because there's the false mute forum topic.
You forgot the form

(The post says there will be a form in the future)

It's already there.

It's only there for scratch-www pages (aka 3.0) and not for scratchr2 (2.0) pages like profiles.

scratchr=PHP
FluxBB=PHP
scratchr2=Django
DjangoBB=(guess)
scratch-www=Node
NodeBB=(guess)

This is misleading for a number of reasons. For one, ScratchR used Cake which is a PHP library, and scratchr2 used Django which is a Python library. So you should either write Cake for scratchr or Python for scratchr2. This implies that ScratchR was just written in vanilla PHP which it was not. This is significant as FluxBB was written in vanilla PHP, which that and Cake are extraordinarily different. They could very well have been written in different languages considering ScratchR essentially just proxied to the forums. There was no integration with ScratchR, your messages did not show up, avatars did not show up, bans were completely separate and when the ScratchR site was down the forums were still accessible.

Also, the language for scratch-www is not really relevant as scratch-www does not do any of the heavy lifting or backend which would be present in the forum, it's a simple express web server which delivers React files. The real magic in these so-called “3.0 pages” is in scratch-api. There is no definite information as to what language it is written in as it is closed-source and not talked about a whole lot but I suspect it is written in Python as it interfaces with scratchr2 and seems to be a widely used choice.

I oppose the use of scratch-www pages to begin with which may make me biased but I don't really see what NodeBB will do here. Especially as it's not like scratch-www is just one Node app which fully powers 3.0 pages– it does nothing on its own, and adding NodeBB to it will not do anything. I hope Scratch Team chooses a different software.

Or just makes their own. They already designed the rest of the website by themselves including features much more complex than a simple forum board, why would it be necessary to sew an already existing software written for an entirely different purpose in?

studio creators are now “studio hosts”. this name seems to make more sense and i think its a good idea.

Why can't there be more than one studio host then? XD Maybe having the progressive permisisons could still have the intended impact on reducing manager chats and raiding, while still allowing collaborative studio maintenance. (honestly, for manager chats though, revision history would be the most ideal for stopping them)

So you do own isthistaken123, isthistaken1234, isthistaken12345, and Robby_Blue
I don't understand why they chose “Studio Host” instead of just “Studio Owner” as that makes more sense. The people who host the studio are the ST, not the Scratchers themselves, but they own the studio.
They should also make “Studio Creator” an honorary title if the studio's creator transfers ownership to someone else.

Agreed. Creator would have been a weird name if this was implemented but studio host…? This is not a roleplay, it is a collection of projects.

The word “Owner” is already used (on the My Stuff page), so it would make sense to use the same word on the studio page.

its also important to note that internally, owner also refers to managers, so differentiating them will help.

also is it just me or is the my stuff studios tab sorting broken for everyone?

GitHub suggestion, if you've got nothing useful to say, don't say it. by default you get an email for every response to your issues and most people don't like being spammed with emails. use reactions to show support without actually posting a reply.

(this isn't in response to anything specific but it just bothers me when people post “nice” or something, and then people respond by telling them not to, and then the nice clean issue becomes a mess)
If you agree not to make unconstructive replies on the GitHub issue, highlight the “empty” line for the link

They still didn't add a link to Scratch Lab!
And the legal links aren't centered even though it would look better that way!
Otherwise it looks good , except for the fact that they aren't coming to scratchr2 pages (they will only change the color to match)
I wonder when will the wiki add this?
