Make this reportable.
Apparently, guys, it's only he/him/males/boys who steal, are mean, are hackers, are bad people. Apparently, Za-Chary is a bad person. Apparently, Scratch (no offense, but especially females) thinks every BAD user must be male. This is stereotypical and outright rude, offensive, and disrespectful. I think that comments, studios, projects, or any form of media on Scratch saying bad users (hackers, bullies, etc) are always or mostly male should be reportable. Along with that, comments saying “the bully's obviously male” should be reportable. As I reply to comments where someone says “he” for the stealer, that you're not sure if the person is male! Unless it clearly says on their profile! Like gosh would y'all like it if anyone said "@stealer stole this from me, report her"?? I doubt it.

Isn't this already covered by the Community Guidelines?

Wait, are you telling me this isn't reportable already?
However, I feel that this is probably reportable already, do you have any proof that it is not?

Scratch is a friendly and welcoming community for everyoneI mean, if people are going to assume every bad person on/outside the internet is a male then it won't be a “welcoming community for everyone”.
However, I feel that this is probably reportable already, do you have any proof that it is not?

I believe I made a post explaining this and now it's gone, the heck??
Anyways, to those saying it's covered by the CG, not really, as saying “@chicken is a stealer! report him!1!1!1” is not really reportable, YET. Of course saying “all stealers and bad users are bOYs” is reportable. However comments straightaway saying “he” “him” “male” or “boy” as a bad user of some sort are not reportable yet. And I think it should apply IF people start saying “hes good coder” all the time. That's taking females out of the spotlight and saying females aren't the best coders. So you can see I don't think boys > girls, I want people to stop having a stereotype that stealers and bad users are male.

Kind of isn't, I explained my view here: im pretty sure this is already reportable. i dont see a reason why it shouldnt be.https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/528337/?page=1#post-5424446
Not really reportable mate, saying “all bad users are male” is reportable but what I'm talkin about isn't really… I explained my view here: Support.https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/528337/?page=1#post-5424446

I think that's quite a jump, don't you think? Someone could happen to know that user's pronouns are he/him. If you don't know those pronouns (maybe they know each other outside of Scratch and this information is not shared on the user's profile), and you report that comment (assuming that your suggestion here is implemented), the commenter could get in trouble for already knowing what the pronouns are. And I think it should apply IF people start saying “hes good coder” all the time. That's taking females out of the spotlight and saying females aren't the best coders.
Moreover, I present a similar argument in the case of “boys rule” studios. I had a good chat the other day with someone who thought that “boys rule” studios were inappropriate for Scratch. They believed that “boys rule” simultaneously means “girls drool.” Well, logically, “boys rule” does not imply that “girls don't rule.” Similarly, saying “girls rule” does not mean that “boys don't rule.” We can all rule! (Now, conversely, the phrase “boys rule and girls drool” is explicitly disrespectful towards girls and thus should be reported.) As a result, we allow “boys rule” and “girls rule” studios as long as they are welcoming and respectful to Scratchers of all gender identities.
Similarly, I think someone saying “he's a good coder,” regardless of whether or not they actually know the user's pronouns, does not imply that females are not good coders. Nowhere in that quote is that explicitly said. I certainly wouldn't feel offended if someone said to another Scratcher “she's a good coder.”
If someone mistakenly says the wrong pronouns for somebody, they could be politely corrected. I'm not sure that action needs to be taken against it unless they are continuing to purposely call them the wrong pronouns.

He/Him is the grammatically correct for a general humans (hence where the phrase “mankind” or “man”).

The Community Guidelines say that Scratch welcomes people of all genders (among other things), meaning that this is already reportable.

If you don't want to offend anyone, use they/them when you don't know someone's gender.

That's definitely the route to go. If you don't know someone's gender and you use he/him, it could be extremely offensive and even damaging to them (i.e. if the person you're referring to happens to be a transgender female). If you don't want to offend anyone, use they/them when you don't know someone's gender.
I know this is offtopic, I'm sorry, it just happens to be something I care a lot about.
Hey there! My name's Surai and I use she/her and it/its pronouns.

I searched it up. I got: *sigh*
He/Him is the grammatically correct for a general humans (hence where the phrase “mankind” or “man”).
While the use, in formal English, of he, him or his as a gender-neutral pronoun has traditionally been considered grammatically correct. Not everything that is “grammatically correct” is polite. Let's take an example sentence. User 1 says to User 2, “You are bad. I hate you.” (This isn't intended at anyone it was just an example.) That looks grammatically correct to me, but I doubt saying something like that would be allowed on Scratch.
The ‘singular they’ is a gender neutral pronoun (?) So I think that would better to go that way. Plus, when I searched it it said “in formal English”. Thus is a kids website, and though there is nothing against using formal English, I highly doubt most people would speaking formally.
Sorry if this sounded rude, that was not intended at all!
/offtopic
(Now, conversely, the phrase “boys rule and girls drool” is explicitly disrespectful towards girls and thus should be reported.)WAIT, that's the actual phrase. I was raised up hearing “girls rule boys drool”- Still, I agree that it's disrespectful to both genders.

No, but, in that sentence, there is no “non formal” way for that. -snip-
Also, if the scratch team is going to block something “grammatically correct”, but not block the “non-grammatically correct” version, that would be weird.
Don’t get me wrong: you always should use they/them for people of which you are not sure of their pronouns, however, using he/him shouldn’t be reportable as it is grammatically correct…
Part of scratch is “not discriminating” (yes, this argument again), so formal speakers should be free.
Also, this is why you see a lot of post from a few years ago (by a certain user) which are translated to English using google translate, which have the he/him pronouns in them.
Hopefully no one I’ll treat me differently in other suggestions due to this post and my stance on this suggestion.
