The problem is that a pretty large portion of the world speaks English, so it's hard to assign just one country to it, so since the language is called “English” due to originating in England, it's usually shown with either the flag of England or the UK. However, the United States has the most English speakers of any country, followed by India, Nigeria, and the Philippines (source), but listing all of these flags would be really confusing.

Similarly, Spanish is spoken in a large portion of the world, and Mexico and Colombia both have higher populations than Spain, but since the language comes from Spain, the flag of Spain is usually used in conjunction with the Spanish language.

It should just be England I think. I don't mind to much though
