Could you explain how the studio layout is not autism friendly? /gen
Edit: I've done research and gotten lots of replies about this in various places. The layout is not ND friendly due to its size and colors, the fact that it's overstimulating, feels/looks unorganized, and has caused sensory overloads for some Scratchers. Some neurodivergent Scratchers don't feel safe with the update, which is really horrible.

Could you explain how the studio layout is not autism friendly? /genI saw a few comments by autistic scratchers saying about this, and I'm not autistic, so I'm not really sure. But if they don't feel comfortable about it, then I want people to know, so that it works for everyone

I am partially autistic, and this wasn't a big problem for me, but I could see how it could be upsetting. The real problem for autistic Scratchers is that it was changed without prior notice.Could you explain how the studio layout is not autism friendly? /genI saw a few comments by autistic scratchers saying about this, and I'm not autistic, so I'm not really sure. My question is, what could the Scratch Team possibly do now that the updates are already released? I agree that they should have given prior warning, but now that it's out, how can they fix it for people for whom this was problematic? What is the suggestion?

Yup, agreed. The layouts should be disability friendly and this definitely isn't.

I have a form of autism known as Asperger's, and even though I haven't had a sensory overload yet, I feel really awful for all those autistic people. None of us deserved this terrible change.

I think being able to customize the scratch theme would solve this.
