Can I change my username?
The structure of the Scratch website depends on having a consistent account name, so it’s not possible to change your username. If you really need to, you can make a new account - but you'll have to copy your projects over on your own.

If you did make a new account you would not have to Scratcher status or the time you have had Scratch for!?

This was the same problem Minecraft had, they solving it by changing the username system to a unique IDs system. I am not sergesting for scratch to do that but that is how Minecraft are doing it.

You will not retain your Scratcher status (ie. New Scratcher once again).

You should really have asked your question on a new thread, because it doesn't really have anything to do with the questions max31bell originally asked.

No, you can't change your username. If you want to have a different username, then create a new account with that username for the name and move accounts to it.

1. new username
2. you can start fresh on Scratch
Cons:
1. you won't retain status
2. you wont' have your old projects
3. you will have to get your old followers back

Also, the St said they won't allow username changes. The best you can do is switch accounts.

Like many people said above, it's impossible to change your username. You can just create a new account and move there.

Since this topic hasn't seen a new post from the topic owner in a long time, I'm going to assume that it is dead and close the topic. If it still is alive, the topic owner just needs to use the Report button to ask a mod to reopen it
