Instructions for Snowfall: The Game

Welcome to Snowfall. You are a lynx born into the Hawk Tribe. Will you rise to become the next leader? Or will you set off to discover the mysteries of the island? The choice is yours.

- Controls -

Walking: ← & → or A & D
Sprinting: Z & X
Jumping: ↑ or W
Crouching: ↓ or S
Sitting: Q
Attacking: Space or E

- Starting Out -

You are given a random pelt color, gender, and name at birth. Follow your mother's instructions in order to progress in the tutorial.

To sleep, go into your assigned den and click the small, empty nest to sleep (between 18:00 and 23:00). (Your den will change along with your rank.) To speak to characters, click them. To explore, move to the corners of the screen (after having talked to your siblings).

- Shops -

You can purchase items from the shops left of the central meeting spot using virtual, in-game money. In the cafe shop, you can purchase food (5-15 coins per purchase). In the apparel shop, you can buy apparel (10 coins per purchase). In the fur dye shop, you can change your pelt color (30-40 coins per change). In the notary shop, you can change your name (20 coins per change).

- Apprenticeship -

Your apprentice ceremony will take place on Day 7 at 10 o'clock. To train, talk to Hickory outside the nursery, and he will teach you how to hunt and fight.

- Hunting -

To hunt, walk outside the camp and wait until prey spawns. Without touching the prey, press the down arrow or S key to crouch and pounce. You will not catch the prey the first few times you hunt, but as you hunt, you will gain skill.

- Fighting -

To fight, press the space bar or E key until your opponent's health reaches 0.

- Eating/Using Items -

To eat, open your inventory and press “use item.” Type the number of the food item you want to consume. *You must type the FIRST instance of your item for this to work. For example, if you have two mice that show up in your inventory as numbers 1 and 2, you have to use the first mouse in your inventory, not the second.

- Graduating -

In order to graduate, you need a 12 in damage. Your damage increases as you age, but you can train with Curt by the camp entrance to advance further. He can also teach you how to swim for 100 coins.

- Mates and Kits -

Current eligible mates:
• Umber (♂)
• Stream (♀)
• Storm (♂)
• Maple (♀)

Once you are an adult (day 30), you can find Umber in the healer's den and Stream outside the warriors' den. You can give gifts to the lynx of the opposite gender to eventually become their mate. Your mate will ask you for kits afterwards.

- Becoming the Leader -

You can talk to Oak to become the leader once you are a warrior.

- Quests -

Some characters will ask you to bring them an item in exchange for a set amount of coins.

Stream (as kitten)
Location: Nursery, Hawk Tribe
Requested item: Flower
Reward per one item: 5 coins

Umber (as kitten)
Location: Nursery, Hawk Tribe
Requested item: Berries
Reward per one item: 5 coins

Ginger
Location: The large rock, Hawk Tribe
Requested item: Any food item
Reward per one item: 5 coins

Amber
Location: Healer's Den, Hawk Tribe
Requested item: Herbs (all herbs in inventory will be given)
Reward per one item: 5 coins

- The Premium Shop -

To the far left of the map, you will find a cave. Here you can buy crystals from Gypsy for 2000 coins each. You can go to the crystal in the cave to trade these for changing your gender or reviving yourself after you have died. Crystals can also be used in other ways.

- Glitches -

If you have found a glitch, you can try to patch it by talking to Patch, the white lynx left of Curt and right of the nursery. Don't use this unless you legitimately have a glitch, as it could mess up your game otherwise.

Could you make a mobile friendly version with no animations or sounds so it won't crash mobile devices?

Sorry about that! For me that only happens with mobile devices or old computers.
