I don't see whats really bad about itch.io, steam, so why do you want to ban it? Scratch can't ban every single site. You act like Scratch is full of 5 years old, when Scratch Stats say most users are 12 years old.

How is newgrounds/itch not already blocked lol? Newgrounds is built off of the concept of 18+ games so bruh
Itch might be a bit more controversial to block, but it's needed as 13+ stuff is still on the site
The thing that I'm not fine with is Gamejolt being blocked. Yes, it is uncensored BUT I personally have never seen an instance of anyone ever swearing on the platform. Of course, this is built off of personal opinion from going on all 3 sites, so the world would probably be better if ST banned all three

as a itch io user, i think this is kind of dumb. sure i understand the 13+ rule, and such, but that only applies when making an account.
you can also disable comments on your itch io game. so i think only itchio game links that have comments enabled should be banned.
i understand what your coming from. but no support.

I think if we were to follow this logic Scratch might as well ban a majority of social medias from being linked, because there are so many platforms, and most of them are way more lenient than Scratch in terms of moderation.

While not knowing much about itch.io, it does allow for content not sutible for Scratch. Same goes for GameJolt and Steam (though I'd be hesitant to censor that last one cause I use it everyday and want to get friends on it if I can).

No support. They would have to censor a lot of things. Like, way to many.
This will end up in people finding more ways to bypass, but I suppose more “un moderated chat websites” could be added.
There are tons of what ifs and buts, such as “What about gamebanana?” or what about youtube? It has explicit videos, and its very easy to make an account to view them. Its un moderated, but Scratch allows it(well, only embeds usually, but some videos can have inappropriate things at some points, but scratch can't moderate it all.)
That said, I'm sure a lot of Scratch users have seen NSFW content(Don't look up NSFW of your favorite series kids, worst mistake of your life).
What about .io games like diep.io and agar.io and literally every .io game that allows for custom nicknames/usernames? Minecraft doesn't allow swear words for usernames but depending on the server it can have un moderated chat(Hypixel is family friendly, but your average server might not be.)

Don’t ban every website that has a link to their own discord server.

No support for banning all .ios, because:
- Material Design - material.io
- GitHub Pages - github.io
- much more APIs and developer tools

you forgot the [] inside your brackets.tbh all the string “.io” should be banned as the names in the game are not moderated and can lead to very inappropriate things.not everything under .io is a game, it was a domain for a region before it became mostly used for multi-player games
Have you seen the names of some of those players?
It's like discord, it can be used to describe a MLP character, but usually isn't.
it’s used all the time for development sites like github because io can refer to input/output. banning discord is different than banning a tld.
