Color Detection on Odd Scales
My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 90.0.4430.93, No Flash version detected
I am working on a small RPG style game, and I am trying to make it as simple as possible and as easy to create large swathes of content for.
In the process of doing this, I decided to turn each pixel of a bitmap image into a walkable tile by scaling it up by 8000. Then, I tried to use color detection to find which color was above, below, to the left and to the right of me, but I found the results were always wrong and didn't match up with what was actually there.
Not only that, but when I selected the image the boundaries (the highlighted area that flashes on the game screen) was misaligned by several pixels.
It has made the creation of my game in the standards I had set impossible and I'd love to see it fixed soon.
