@inoking Just stop. Nobody likes this idea. It's better to close this topic and stop talking about it. Deleting is an important feature of scratch thatnobody wants to give up.That is what the ST decides.

Pianostar4 is out of line, but they're right.@inoking Just stop. Nobody likes this idea. It's better to close this topic and stop talking about it. Deleting is an important feature of scratch thatnobody wants to give up.That is what the ST decides.
Only you and about one or two others like this.
Deleting is a very important feature in scratch. The ST have probably considered the fact that deletion can be abused, so they limited deleting to themselves, the owner of a profile or project, and managers (managers can delete their own comments).

Is it consistent?

No it's not, which is why I think ST should change it so they can.Deleting is a very important feature in scratch. Inconsistency means we can't distinguish which behavior is correct.

No support.
There are words I don't particularly like, but don't break the community guidelines.
I delete old comments, comments that aren't relevant anymore, and comments like 'You should have posted this in the forums (link)".
My opinion will not be changing, no matter what points are brought up.

Inconsistency means we can't distinguish which behavior is correct. That's… not what inconsistency means.
noun
noun: inconsistency
the fact or state of being inconsistent.
“inconsistency between his expressed attitudes and his actual behavior”
an inconsistent element or an instance of being inconsistent.
plural noun: inconsistencies
“the single glaring inconsistency in the argument”
Anyways,
There is a suggestion for that here-snip-Can you explain why can't managers delete others' comments on their own studio?
Is it consistent?

I do. Sure, right now, the system wouldn't work without the delete feature, but we could improve the system.

And that is done how exactly? I'm not sure if you actually know how many things you'd have to hash out and test if you removed deleting and “improved the system.” You can't just go and say what would do what and where things would go if you are programming a report system. You have to explain to the computer what everything looks like manually, where everything goes manually, what happens when the report button is clicked on manually, ect. It's not simple. You don't have blocks that you can snap together, you must type everything and that takes time. Don't even get me started on the debugging.Deleting is an important feature of scratch thatnobody wants to give up.

Considering that this has turned into a list of suggestions, you would be right, but the ST probably won't listen if you didn't include that. You know what? Imma report to be closed as it is list of suggestions. It's better to close this topic and stop talking about it.Ya know what, I'm gonna do just that - report this topic to be closed.

Please create a separate topic for each suggestion you have, rather than creating a list of suggestions. That way, the conversation stays focused and each idea can get the attention it needs.
Before making a new topic, please check out the following:
Before making a new topic, please check out the following:
- The Official List of Rejected Suggestions. If your suggestion is in this list, please do not make a new topic about it, as it will not be implemented anyway.
- The Suggestions Directory. If your suggestion is in this list, please continue the discussion in the existing topic, rather than making a new topic.
