Why did you only look at the quote?Asking to ban these kinds of studios is exactly like asking to ban Follow for Follow which is rejected here:What are you talking about? This is nothing related to f4f. I never wanted to ban f4f.7.3 Ban “follow for follow” (F4F)
Although many Scratchers do not enjoy seeing follow for follow requests, asking someone to participate in follow for follow is relatively harmless. If someone asks you to do follow for follow, and you do not want to, just politely decline their request. If they keep spamming you with requests, you can use the Report button on their comments.

So many studios force scratchers to follow some particular scratcher. That is rude and disrespectful; we can choose who we want to follow! You get random invites, scratchers telling you to love and fave their projects! Also, we all get popular in the natural course of time! Most of them are not forcing you to follow somebody, they are suggesting a nice person who's projects you may enjoy and may want to check out.
Now, you might be thinking: “Oh, we can't stop it!”
Well, at least add that to the guidelines please.

Um, if you don't mind me asking (I'm not saying it's not I'm just wondering), how is it like f4f?Why did you only look at the quote?Asking to ban these kinds of studios is exactly like asking to ban Follow for Follow which is rejected here:What are you talking about? Yup, the two are extremely similar.Ok, I thought this was advertising, but it can turn out to be f4f, too.what? no, that's not what we meant, we meant that the same argument for the rejection of banning f4f can be made here as well
Please don't spam.
This is my 100th post lol.

Do I like these types of studios and do I want to be invited to them? No. Should they be banned? No. You can simply leave and state you don't want to be added to these types of studios if you don't want to.

Ignore the invite, and move on with your life! It's not like the FBI will barge on your door like you bought drugs off the dark web if you choose not to accept a studio invite!

Practically it is, because this suggestion won't be implemented like the other thousands including the useful onesAsking to ban these kinds of studios is exactly like asking to ban Follow for Follow which is rejected here:Ah, but the OP is suggesting something different. I am here to clarify that their suggestion is not rejected at this time.

stop saying this is like the “ban f4f” suggestion, it's not, it's saying to ban studios from requiring people to follow someone in order to join

I like ‘follow this amazing artist and friend’ studios, as I am attempting to follow egregious amounts of good artists passively as they need more support and their studio invites mean nothing to me as I don't care.

I mean these types of studios aren't not allowed; if you don't like them, just ignore them

If a studio requires you to follow someone to join, it might already reportable. I don't think you're supposed to use follows / loves / favorites as currency, but I could be mixed up and thinking about the fake cryptocurrency rules. These types of studios are supposed to be banned, as Paddle mentioned mentioned.
It probably depends on context though. For example, if you want to join a griffpatch fan club studio and someone replies to your request “But you're not following griffpatch?,” that might be ok since it's not exactly using follows as a currency.

Wait, do these studios ask random Scratches to follow them, or do they advertise their friends?

Wait, do these studios ask random Scratches to follow them, or do they advertise their friends? They basically ask people to invite followers to follow them. (I think)

You don't need to be in that studio… You can just choose to not join if you don't like what they do.What? How are they forcing you to do anything?by not letting you in without you following that person

I support this, but it most likely won't be appealed by the Scratch Team. I think banning “Oh, follow me!” studios will make the community better. It may also reduce the mass false reporting problem. Not to mention that a mass false reporting happened recently to a very good high-quality innocent game on Scratch.
