Revert to the Old Muting System
I don't believe it should be reverted but not every * single time it mutes you for saying something incorrectly. Not even incorrectly!!! You get muted when you say “Amino acids”.
Thank you for your time.
And this can even affect scratch users with vulnerable usernames. For example, I know someone whose username is “kc021”. So if I say something like “If kc021 shares a project today, I will be happy”, the first two words will trigger a false positive with the muting system and mute me. Before we used to be able to just edit the comment and rephrase it to prevent the false positives, but now we just suck it up and get muted.

When you are muted, you'll see a window that explains why your comment was flagged. Built into this window is a link to a feedback form. If you think the system has made a mistake, we would really appreciate your feedback — the Scratch Team will take a look at the feedback Scratchers provide and use it to make the system better.
It's understandable that the new mute system is a little harsh right now — we haven't yet gotten enough feedback to do some of this fine-tuning with the system. With more time, and more feedback, the mute system will gradually get much better. We just ask that you be a little patient with us while we work on this.

Revert to the Old Muting System
Somebody raised a question about the feedback form not showing up for them. Unfortunately, the form is only available in areas where the website has been upgraded to the new look. If you are not getting the form, you can also use the topic in the Bugs and Glitches area for letting us know of an area that needs more tweaking.
