How about we just make it a rainbow because it's the only way everyone will be happy.

That doesn't contrast too badly.I think that would not contrast well with the background.Gold.No red can mean obsolete. I suggest bright blue, with a larger,bolder font.
At least some sort of color to make it stand out. Perhaps reddish-orange?
