Other Ways To Advertise

Posting a topic in this thread isn't the only way to get a project noticed!
There are also many other ways you can get your great work out there, and many other ways to avoid spamming:

Strategies:

Studios: Without spamming it, you could find studios that accept any projects and post it. There are some studios for projects with under 10 likes, you can start there

Signatures: If you use the forums often (Which you probably do since your reading this) you can put a link to your projects in your signature, just remember not to over do it.

Tags: You'll see in the corner of the description, there is a way you can tag your project. When adding a tag, don't add random names, add relavent names, then people will be more likely to see your project

There are many different ways to get your project more known, but one thing you don't want to do is spam it:

What not to do:

Spam in Studios: Some galleries are kind enough to let people add their own projects, but if your project is not relevant to the gallery topic then do not add it. This form of nonsense is classified as spamming

Spam in Comments: Its nice to discuss your project, but keep that in the comments on your project. The most common form of spam is in comments. Do not go to random profiles, projects, studios, or threads. This is common and very annoying.

Spam in tags: Tagging is a nice feature. You're able to give people the general idea of what your project is about, and you can get the word out, but adding random tags is a form of spam, and people are less likely to see your project.

Well this is my guide to getting your project well known. I have discovered when trying to advertise one of my projects. BUt what ever you do, do not overdue it.

Good luck in getting your project well advertised,

Another good way is making good friends or now they call them ‘followers’.

Well, anyways, commenting meaningfully on others' projects will also indirectly ‘advertise’. Constructive criticism is the best, and words like ‘awesome’ and ‘cool’ don't really work well, because many others are going to write that too. They might in return check out your projects too.

In my studio Gold Crown, you can add anything! There is no topic required. YOu can also get special things if you become a member of the studio. It's a good way to get your project noticed because the studio is forever growing and will soon be on the featured studios list.

Hello!!! ^^ I'm @katiebug82304, and if you ever need help with Scratch, or just want to talk, you can contact me on my profile. I will (almost) always be there to talk, and feel free to contact me about any situation having to do with Scratch!!! I do writing, art, games (occasionally), and other things on Scratch!!!

Go to the hub of the forums, by clicking the "Discuss“ link. Then, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, and in the lower left hand corner should be a ”Change your signature" link. Click that, and you're ready!

When using tags, the ones that are suggested “games' simulations' ‘animations’ are the tab sectsion for Explore section. Many users, like me, click explore now to see the latest projects out. And, more people click on the projects in those sections than rather typing a specific tag like ”duck' inside search.

It works too! from experience

Some day tonight.

Under the “Notes and Credits” box, there should be a thin line. And under that line, there should be a space over the ''Shared" thingy. Put your mouse over it, and a box should appear. click on it, and add tags.

What if its a friends (not “random people”) profile and you want him/her to debug it or give feedback?

I made a open-world game that has nice 8-bit graphics, good physics, AND THE ABILITY TO CHANGE GRAVITY USING WASD! Anyways, it's my personal favorite project i made ever and is gaining popularity. Gravity 2 Also the game isnt finished, it gets updated often, and if you want to “Suscribe” in the comments, i will alert you whenever theres a big update! Hope you play it!

You might wanna post a topic about that in the Show and Tell forums.
