in my clicker game https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/447806884/, i have a bug where the thumbnail only works on the project page, not when i search it up or look at it in my mystuff page, is there any ways to fix this or workarounds?
My browser / operating system: ChromeOS 12607.82.0, Chrome 79.0.3945.123, No Flash version detected

Sometimes the thumbnail inside your my stuff thing is different than the one on the page. Same thing for me with one of my games.

I don't know if you even read it all the way or understood it but I said it doesnt show when I search up my game and neither in mystuff, it only shows on the project page

Yeah, I'm having the same problems. I have changed the thumbnail on my new game, but it doesn't update, and it's been a few days already (I started working a week ago and it's now shared). I can view the new thumbnail (with red text and richer colors) on the project page or editor, but it doesn't show on displays or the my stuff section.
I think the cause might be a server problem or it might be the Scratch Team testing or changing the program.
We should also contact the Scratch Team if this problem continues.

that happen to me too!

It's probably a server issue. Viewing the image of my thumbnail is a Scratch Cat, and the direct image thing is also a Scratch Cat. I use Windows NT 10.0, Firefox 85.0, and I want this issue to be fixed.

Its not the cat issue its just where the old thumbnail is staying and the new is not updating, from what I've read its a server problem and will update in time

Yeah, I know, I quoted my own post, but I've been having this problem for nearly a week now. My scrolling platformer game used to be a blank screen with a platform, and so I backpacked everything when I was done and transported to a new project. But when I updated the thumbnail, it doesn't update, but I don't want to transport again, cus I already got hundreds of views.

Here's my OS info: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 88.0.4324.150, No Flash version detected

I cant seem to update it in my new game I just started with either.

If anybody is still on this topic I figured out how to fix this glitch.

First, use this code:

Then add this code separately:

Click the code without the when flag clicked, and make sure the thumbnail is at the front layer. Then save the project as a copy by going to File at the top left corner. Then before you share the project, make the project title the project title with a space at the end. Then you can share it, and you will have the thumbnail! Hello, I don't know if your problem is the same as mine, but when I make a thumbnail this is normally the code I use

then I press stop which make the thumbnail show then I save so then it becomes the thumbnail, but on this project that I just shared https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/481670104/ I did the same thing with the thumbnail and instead of working like it usually does, instead on the My Stuff page the thumbnail is a frame halfway through the animation (the one with three rolls of toilet paper) which was what it was when I last edited it around two months ago, but then today I finished making that project and the thumbnail is still the old one when I was halfway through the project, also in a studio the thumbnail is a different part of the project that I also saved it as today while working on it, instead of the actual sprite that is supposed to be the thumbnail. The thumbnail on the project itself when I open the project the thumbnail shows up okay but the small thumbnails are kind of broken, could someone please check what went wrong? I think the thumbnail is supposed to be what you last save it as right?

Another project where the thumbnail is broken is https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/426859702/ where it is a remix of another project and the thumbnail is of something I already deleted out of the project but no matter what I try it still stays as that.

Also one more project with a broken thumbnail is https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/336388527/ but I don't really remember much about what I did then because this was a long time ago, but I centered the sprite but on the thumbnail it is not centered but instead is in a corner, the same problem happened with https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/377688444/ but I don't remember what I saved that one as either.

So these are the problems I ran into with thumbnails that I can currently remember, could someone please check to see what went wrong with these thumbnails?

that won't fix it. as stated MANY times before, it's a server issue, so updating the thumbnail will NOT work at all with any thumbnail methods

Do you have a source from a developer or ST member to confirm it's a server issue?

To fix this you will need to save the project on the thumbnail this was show the thumbnail when you search up your project or check it in my stuff if it isnt saved on the thumbnail It wont work try it
