The Scratch Plaza!

in this collab we are trying to make a big top down mall, ( scrolling ) but all the ‘stores’ in the mall, are scratch shops from the requests forum!

in the requests forums there are a few directories, but some shops are requesting sorts of mass merges that can help them stay in touch with other shops and communicate better. The Scratch Plaza is a solution to this!

we need;

—CODERS; ( for scrolling engine, it will be a top down scroller capable of making a huge area. each shop will get one space ( each space is the size of the screen exactly and will need to be easily editable )
-GRAPHIC DESIGNERS; ( these people will design ads, art in the mall, and general graphics for the mall, i.e, floor patterns, fountains, ?trees?, benches etc
—INFRASTRUCTURE DESIGNERS; ( these people will design the malls floor plan and layout in the most accessible way possible for the people and shops )
-NOT OPEN FOR SHOPS TO JOIN YET

i would suggest looking into gravit designer, or just using google draw, since this isn't art based, although you can submit art i guess. we might as well have paintings in the map like a real mall.

any ideas for this project? You could do a 3D project, since it would look more realistic, and it might be like a mix of a 3D platformer and a walk in shop. The walk in shop part would be you walking in it and some kind of screen pops up and you buy or look at stuff.

Hi, I see that this project is directed at making a true collaboration between shops. However, I think that a forum is really more suited for this. All this ambitious coding can be easily replicated in a forum thread. Sorry if that sounded harsh, but it's the truth. However, if you would like to make this project, then we can let the graphic designers design the map in a ray caster, making the 3D much simpler.

any ideas for this project? I guess we could make it cloud, I am really good at cloud variables, but no good at 3D at all. So the display may need to be done by someone else.
