Introducing Scratch Lab!
Before the Scratch Team decides if blocks are a good fit for the Scratch editor, we consider the exciting, creative, and surprising ways Scratchers use them. We wanted to create a new space where everyone could try out new features we’re considering adding to Scratch. That’s why we’re so excited to announce Scratch Lab, a place for you to try out experimental blocks that open up new creative possibilities!
Scratch Lab kicks off with two new features:
Animated Text blocks let you animate and change the colors and fonts of text in your project.
With these blocks, you can try things like:
Face Sensing blocks let you snap sprites to a video image of your face.
With these blocks, you can try things like:
Scratch Lab is a space for our team to tinker, test, and play with new ideas. But most importantly, Scratch Lab is a space for you! We’d love to hear what you think with the feedback forms on the Scratch Lab website. Have fun with these experimental features, and stay tuned to find out what’s next for Scratch Lab!
