Hi!

I have two main suggestions:

1. Do you think it would be possible to allow cloud variables to use letters? It would make a new game that I'm making a lot easier to create if this were added.
2. Would it be possible to have a “username profile picture” block that looks like this:

(profile)

It could be something similar to that, but it would allow you to put the Scratcher's profile picture on the account without having to copy it pixel by pixel. I would suggest putting it into the “Sensing” category, with the “username” block.

The third suggestion I have is not that big of a deal, but it's still something I would consider:

3. Do you think there could be a block that looks like this:

redirect to link (a link goes here)

If a Scratcher uses that block, it could open a new tab with the same URL. I would suggest putting it into the “Sensing” category, because it deals with the internet.

These suggestions are not mandatory and I understand if you reject them.

I don't think that would be added because many people want it but they still haven't added it after all this time.

Why? They/you can't view two things at the same time

1.12 Letters in cloud variables
Some users would like an easy way to set cloud variables to values which include letters. Such a feature was present in the beta version of Scratch 2.0. However, allowing letters in cloud variables would cause a lot of moderation issues. For instance, it would make it too easy to make inappropriate cloud chat projects; for more information, see #3.1 on this list. Hence the feature was removed, and so cloud variables can now only be set to numeric values.

By encoding and decoding, it is possible to simulate letters in cloud variables, but in reality they are just using numbers in cloud variables and letters in normal variables.

show user's profile picture :: sensing 

hide user's profile picture :: sensing

When you click on the block, it shows your profile picture, and that is not supposed to be a variable. Like the “username” block, it goes in the “Sensing” category.

What use would that have though? How would you use a block with an input type that isn't supported by anything else?
