Cannot Install on Mac OSX 10.9.5

Sorry if this has been asked before. I couldn't find the topic. I am trying to install the offline editor on my Mac OS X 10.9.5. I get the Adobe air installed with not issues. When I click the install app for scratch 2 nothing happens. I looked in the console I see the following errors:

10/5/14 10:59:57.235 AM CoreServicesUIAgent: Saving rejection record:
Rejected URL=file///Volumes/Install%20Scratch%202/Install%20Scratch%202.app/
App URL=file///Volumes/Install%20Scratch%202/Install%20Scratch%202.app/

10/5/14 10:59:57.235 AM CoreServicesUIAgent: App URL discarded

10/5/14 10:59:57.237 AM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501: (.edu.media.mit.Scratch2Editor.installer) Exited: Killed: 9

I have tried uninstalling Adobe air and reinstalling it. But it does the same thing.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.9.5, Chrome 37.0.2062.124, Flash 15.0 (release 0)

It looks like the problem is not with Adobe Air, but that Scratch 2.0 is being rejected by the OS. Maybe you have strict antivirus software? These are just guesses. I know that I'm running Mac OS 10.9.4, and I'm having no problems running Scratch 2.0.

By the way, did you download Scratch 2.0 for “Mac OS 10.5 & Older” and not “Mac OS X” ?

Questions,

Thanks for the reply, No I do not have any Antivirus software running on the machine and I did download the “Mac OS X” download. Still looking for a solution.

Try re-downloading the file. Sometimes it could be a permissions issue.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with MAC's, but I do have some experience with computers, and that experience tells me that you really should have Antivirus software…It has saved me a number of times…I'm not sure if it's available for Mac, but you may want to check out AVG antivirus. Their free version is really good. Just a suggestion.

Since “Mac OS X” is not working, maybe you could try downloading the “Mac OS 10.5 & Older” version? It might work.

My thoughts,
