The Scratch Weekly newspaper is pleased to announce the opening of our brand new advice column, Take A Little Break!

The goal of this advice column is to empathize with our audience and to answer any questions they have with heartfelt advice that comes from the personal experience of our columnist(s). If you're struggling with any friendship problems, relationship issues, your family's getting on your nerves, or if something on Scratch is bothering you, we're more than ready to listen and provide you with our best advice.

When you ask a question:
○ be sure to address us as “Dear Charlie” (Charlie will be the columnist's alias; to keep their identity anonymous)
○ sign off with either your username, a nickname based on your question (Lovestruck, Curious Guy, Grounded, Lost and Confused, etc.) or simply Anonymous

Your question and answer will be featured in an upcoming Scratch Weekly issue, given we're able to answer it with actual advice! We may not answer your questions in order, as some of them have urgency, are time-based, involve an event coming in the near future, and thus would need to be answered right away. But your question WILL be answered in due time ^.^

Hi! I am so glad I found this lol…but I need advice:

I always love to invite my friends over, but my other cousin who lives right with me always takes them instead…so when ever I invite them, she always takes them, then they go to her house, play her games, and don’t even think about me. Every time they play a game, I am just left sitting on the side being excluded by them. But they are great company to have, but I really don’t like having my cousin with me, ‘cause they whenever they are playing a game with me then my cousin comes, they play with her. But when I ask if they wanna play she literally scream NO and laugh away leaving me alone on my own play date! So please help and tell me how to address this situation and how to tell my cousin how I feel.

Dude, listen. From one dude to another, if she clearly isn't interested whatsoever, you should move on. If you really feel she's the one, then show her things that you like. Introduce yourself. And be yourself. Don't look up how to do stuff online, it'll just make it worse. But just remember there will be others.

Here it is: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/428016536/ Additionally, I think that the poetry consultants should review the poem in the project. I have not yet asked the creator if they would like to have it featured, I wanted to ask you guys first.

Ok so. Me and m y friend had a really really big fight. I will say we almost solved it but we still say mean thing to each other like “I HATE YOU” “YOUR STUPID”, we solved some but now the mean words and I just don't know how to solve it. Please let me know.

Ok i can wait for 3 weeks

I am thinking of taking a break from scratch but also I want to make soooo much projects, but I can't handle all of my projects I am making, but I also need a break and I don't know what to do and I think you know I made 4 poems but I dont know if you guys need more, but you guys probably don't because you guys have a poem picking thing and you must have alot of poems by now. Please HELP.

Hi, i need really good advice and i thought you guys give great advice. So, I've been really down lately, like i think i am happy but I am not. Some times of the i am happy but lately, i feel down. I feel i don't want to do anything. I've been making an animation to keep me happy and motivated, but the recordings did not safe and now I don't even want to do the animation. I feel sad I guess like. I got hurt and I cried so much, but I don't usually cry that much. I usually get healed in 2 min but I think I cried so much because all my stress, sadness, and anger got out. But i got more more sad after that, i started to say “kill me” “KILL ME”. I don't want this to continue, DOF+EDOJcfjoczlkjdfsiucm ufdvdiujfuijddd, sorry about that, I just took my anger because I just read my classmates message form hangouts. I also now fighting with my siblings alot. Please, I need advice.

@Lazerbeam200 I am sorry you feel down. I think your unusual sadness and overall crappy feeling might be winter related. In winter since the days are short that effects some people. I recommend either getting up earlier or when you get up try looking at a bright light or watch a video filmed in summer. If they don't work try guided meditation. Or you could tell an adult about it. Your choice

I need advice I always organize something, but sometimes it doesn't stay like that. How do I keep the places I organize, stay organized?
