best advice i can give is to mess around with the tool and go into other people's songs to learn how they work.

also turn on the piano guide and the octave scroll it makes everything 100x easier.

hmm…. ok… ill try

here's some advice from ya "octave scroll bar( someone already said) and do remixes of real music before you do OCS. mess around with other peoples music but get permission before posting. your first original song will probably be just random notes with a pretty basic drum beat, but that's everyone. most important, have fun.

I also can't even make a melody… idk why I'm not creative

UPDATE just mess around beepbox isn't very competitive
if you want to implement, sheet music always helps.

I have a lot of tips:
I would recommend turning on all of the preferences except always fine note volume (it gets annoying) on jummbox, since they all are useful and help a lot. The most important in my opinion is preview added notes.
A basic knowledge of music theory helps if you are writing your own songs, but it is not required. It really does help if you can read sheet music, though.
Learn how to use Jummbox's mod channels. They are the best thing that Jummbox adds.
To create instruments, use presets and mess around with settings. Creating your own instrument from scratch is hard and generally unnecessary.
If you want to create video game covers like I do, start with older games. Undertale music is also a good starting point because all of the sounds in each song are documented. Songs that are recorded live are much harder to get right.
Learn to tune out different parts of the song you are transcribing. If you get the hang of this it becomes much easier to hear background parts. Pushing S mutes every other channel, and is helpful for this.
Most importantly, just mess around with all of the features. That is the best way to learn how to use beepbox.

you guys don't need to argue about this, I really don't care that much. Stealing my song is not cool, but im honestly not very mad at all. (I'm sort of flattered that it was my song, it feels like more of a compliment). I remember one time that a huge argument happened on this forum and it made it hard to post songs without them getting buried, and I think it was also about something similar happening. I don't want this to happen again, especially over things I make. I really don't like it when people care more about my songs than i do myself. I've tried to stay out of this in the past, but I hope this time I can stop the argument from escalating.
Please dont reply to this, I want this argument to end here.

Here's a project that i found abandoned in a word document that i never finished: https://tinyurl.com/SacredDuetWIP
Could someone finish this? I can't wrap my head around how to do the notes for this song. It's the sacred duet from The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.

Yeah, you can't be taught creativity. You just gotta practice and figure out what works for yourself (which is where schools and, more specifically, art teachers, cause problems. they force you into one lane and don't let you figure things out and find your own artistic style. they just focus on theoretical techniques that you “should be” applying to your art (you don't have to, and trying to will just limit yourself stupidly))

Sheet music? Do you mean… taking a music sheet and making it in beepbox?
