well a good place to start would be the tutorials @mathmathmath made on the cloud. his first set of tutorials don't include online games but stuff like high scores. his second set got broken by scratch 3.0 so don't copy his code. but as long as you have done the first tutorial he made you should understand enough of the theory to make it all by yourself. NOTE: there are MUCHHHH easy tutorials but most of them can only support 2 players. by following @mathmathmath's tutorials you should be able to make a game with between 10 and 100 players depending on how much data you need to send back and forth.
