What constitutes 'social media'?

So, okay, on the scratch guidelines it says this,

But I would like clarification what they mean by social medias.

Wattpad, which has dm'ing features, seems to be acceptable? I'm assuming stuff like Twitter and Facebook isn't, but, then again, what do I know? We all know d#scord and stuff like aqqie are highly not allowed, but on the rest they're pretty vague. A unmoderated chat isn't completely defined, as well as social media.

I've seen people link to their website on carrd which contains links to their social medias, what about that? Linking to stuff that's allowed, that links to stuff that may or may not be allowed? Instagram, what about her? Is she allowed?

So, TL;DR what constitutes ‘social media’, are you allowed to link to stuff that links to other stuff, and what are some common examples of no-no websites? that I don't know already because I know d#scord isn't allowed lol

Basically, my whole point, after all of this word vomit, are sites like Wattpad, which is very popular and highly common, alllowed?

I have a major addiction to sweet tea and draw a crap ton of stuff in my free time (not all of which is scratch appropriate). I post whatever I want to on the main site and mostly manage the collaborations directory and answer questions in QaS on the forums

I have over 2000 posts lol, a huge chunk of them being from when I was 11-12 during the height of COVID

what constitutes a a social media site with unmodded chat would include Discord, Twitter, Facebook, YT Livestreams, etc., but the reason Wattpad is allowed is because sometimes people publish things to complex or big for scrathc to handle (like the entire yr. 7 harry potter BOOK), but they want ppl on scratch to know about it.

the profanity, no. excessive blood, no (limits on wattpad from scratch are dripping scars down your arm for humans or anthropomophic animals, torn and blooded pelts for warrior cats, i'd think…) gun violence, no. the scariest monsters imaginable, no.

Ok, got it, thank you (which means I won't be able to post my wattpad account username, lol. it always feels uncomfortable and unrealisitc when I read a book with teenagers and none of them cuss at all, but yeah lol-)! So, no no-no things, I understand (:

I would describe social media as “Websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking.” If a platform fits this definition, then it is probably some form of 'Social Media"

If you are wondering what sites are allowed, it's best to use common sense. If it has unmoderated chat, then it's probably not allowed. If it contains content that is not appropriate for scratch, it's probably not allowed.

That's false. I don't know what Scratch Team member you're referring to, but last time I checked, no one can post links to Reddit on Scratch. We Scratch Team members don't get special privileges like that just because we're on the Scratch Team.

So, let me sum up everything so far from these posts;

- Wattpad, Youtube, & DeviantArt are okay if the content is okay
- Youtube livestreams are a no
- Blood, guts, guns, stuff like that are still a no
- Discord, Reddit, stuff like that are big no-no's, even for the ST

One last thing, what about stuff that links to other no-no stuff? Like if you linked your Wattpad account, which is okay since your content is okay, to your twitter so people can find it? (:
