16GB RAM definitely, I got a Ryzen 5 2600 for my CPU and it's absolutely fine for Minecraft, plus the new Nvidia graphics cards just came out so you could probably get a good one from the last series for a decent price (or you could future-proof by getting a new one if you really want)

You dont even need a dedicated graphics card for minecraft

It's good to have if you want to play other games though

actually a well-enchanted diamond sword is in many cases better than a well-enchanted diamond axe because of the speed advantage and sweeping edge benefit, axes are better earlygame though
