I don’t think so for the first part, but I can’t find anything for or against it. The amount of combinations you can make with three characters is pretty large (I got ~50k when I tried to calculate it, but I’m not 100% sure I did it right) so I’d say there are quite a lot left

For the first part, no as they are not allowed now so the accounts with a spaced username would have to be deleted and if you wrote @Lukes stitch in the comments, for example, the username you were clicking on would not be @Lukesstitch, it would just be @Lukes. However, underscores are definitely allowed. For the second part, nobody knows as there are 21952 taken and untaken 3 letter Scratch usernames.

Based on my math, there are 54872 possible usernames with 3 characters. I'm sure at least 1 was taken

I'm pretty sure I've seen things like “are” and “lol”. So yes, it was possible for a 3 char username.
As for spaces, that's usually not a thing for most usernames on most platforms. Underscores and dashes are common workarounds.

I would say this is a “rare” username, but to be honest, any username in existence is as “rare” as all the others.
