Scratch and China (Discussion on Recent Website Block)
Welp, it's because V-Bucks were lowered for Epic Direct Payment which violates the Apple Store Guidelines and Google was also mad at it. You can still get it by using the Samsung Store or the Epic Games launcher and Epic also took legal action. For Scratch the ban was put forward for I don't know why.]why? not that i didn't want it to be banned.[]kinda ironic how china banned scratch the same day apple banned fortnite am i rite guys[offtopic]It's not just iOS that blocked it, but also android.[/offtopic]
Maybe they're connected somehow…

Honestly, I'm surprised the CCP even knew about Scratch and banned it.According to the Stats page, there are 57,630,531 registered accounts - taking a very conservative estimate of 33% of those being unique people, that's somewhere in the realm of 20,000,000 unique people who have used Scratch - and there's probably a number of people who don't use it but know it exists. There's also enough secondary sources written about it for it to have a Wikipedia article - and generally, they don't want to hear about your thing if the outside world hasn't heard of it.
So Scratch is certainly not obscure - it's not ultra famous either, but it's not obscure.

The obvious reason is because America, China are both enemies and because America Blocked TikTok because they do not like China, China blocked scratch because Americans made it. India are Allies with America and Pakistan are Allies with China
Scratch don't sue this and ppl pls don't report this I'm trying to tell the truth.

I knew that, its Alexa rank is about 300 - 350 but I wasn't expecting the CCP.Honestly, I'm surprised the CCP even knew about Scratch and banned it.According to the Stats page, there are 57,630,531 registered accounts - taking a very conservative estimate of 33% of those being unique people, that's somewhere in the realm of 20,000,000 unique people who have used Scratch - and there's probably a number of people who don't use it but know it exists. And Za-Chary noticed it, someone (or multiple people) pointed it out on his profile.A mod already merged the topic, so they probably know this issue is present, but they have not posted in this topic. The Scratch Team hasn't posted yetI'm honestly surprised by that

Yes, but it's for informative purposes because it was banned and they have to add a link for every website banned. I'm sure it can stay up.It's #521 btwthat article links to another article regarding a very inappropriate website and the website can be found near the very top, I suggest you remove it.

China blocks YT, but people use VPN's to access it. I don't think scratchers in china that really care about scratch will quit because of the block, they will just use a VPNOh gosh.I'm pretty sure using a VPN is illegal in China.
So… all the accounts from china (20K) will be inactive.
But the good news is: The Chinese people are allowed to use VPNs
